Grant Morrison is a crazy person who believes that comic books will become real if we believe in them hard enough. This is apparent throughout his own statements and the body of his work itself.
He was going to work on a new Crisis for DC, a Hyper Crisis, that would've united all of his work into a single narrative.

Holy shit are you wrong. Like, story trumps continuity is the exact opposite of what your described. Hypercrisis isn't about a unified, cohesive timeline. It's about how there is no such thing, and how that is the best possible thing for comics.

Why is Gotham City so run down?
It's home to one of the largest corporations in the world, yet it seems to be Detroit-tier.
Wayne Enterprises seems to fairly dominate the city, but there's abandoned factories, theaters and warehouses everywhere for any hobo with a costume to start up his criminal empire.
Is it Bruce's fault, or maybe his Dad's?
Are the Waynes just a family of robber barons bleeding the city dry?
Maybe that's why Bruce puts so much money into charity, because he's trying to make up for his dad's misdoings....

Faces change. Even when they don't, contextual things like lighting and the angle of observation can make them look radically different. Take a photography or life drawing class if you don't believe me.

When the Fire Nation attacked
I started watching Rick and Morty after hearing nothing but praise for it for the whole year.
Currently 5 episodes in and it's.... ok I guess?
Does it get better? Because so far I'm really unimpressed desu.

The whole thing that's supposed to impress you (or at least impresses most critics and TV fanatics) is the way it's basically a dual A plot episode where both stories are equally interesting and at the end they converge brilliantly. It also perfectly shows off the blend of unpredictable, imaginative sci-fi and both low and high brow humor.
