What are some examples of complete bombs in comics in the last few years?
Not just stuff that was "poorly received", literally stuff that people hated so much the company who put it out had to abandon plans because of it?
I would say Arena, but they seemed determined to stick with that shit thanks to the follow up comic
>>78516162
Undercover was bad enough to get cancelled mid-run though. Pretty sure Arena itself was at least on thin ice by the time it ended.

That hack Hopeless destroyed so many interesting characters.
>Hades is a bad guy
>Hera is a loving mother
>Zeus isn't a rapist
>Hercules doesn't beat Megara to death
Were you even TRYING, Disney?
>>78508132
Zeus was never a rapist
Just a lovable rascal that early feminists took umbrage against
Yep anon that all sounds perfectly acceptable for a children's film.
>>78508169
Hunchback had a song about a sexually repressed old man wanting to rape a Gypsy
Why doesn't he just fire Mordo and Rigby?
Yer mum.

because he secretly hates them.

Do you think Kamala Khan could work out as a villain somewhere down the line?
How would you go about writing a heel-turn for her?
>>78471248
b-but she is a muslim?
so she is a villain already.
>>78471248
>muslim
>villain
yeah, that will happen
>>78471248
Everyone in MARVEL is a villain at some point.
She'll probably be such a paragon that her obsession with "justice" will blind her from what is truly right.
What can /co/ tell me about this film?
romeo and juliet with lions
Much like how the first one is literally Hamlet, this one is literally Romeo and Juliet.
Watch lion king 1 1/2 instead.
>Characters repeatedly use words that sound vaguely similar to tame swearing
>"Son of a [word that rhymes with bitch]"
>"What the [word that rhymes with fuck]"
I get that there'll be kids following it but surely just avoiding lines like this would be better. I'm reading some Spider-Man 209 and overuse of "shock" and "glitch" to replace "fuck" and "bitch" is grating.
what the shell
>>78516134
Pic related. I get it, it's the shocking future.
>>78516134
>Show does SUPER BIG CHANGE to be edgy/get more viewers
>Either the change is really annoying (Sparky in Fairly Odd Parents) or reversed because the writers are too pussy to accept the backlash (Brian in Family Guy).
I miss him, /co/. The whole industry's gone to shit without him.
>>78515903
He's still alive though, I wonder what he thinks about the industry in its current state.
>>78515903
Oh boy, imagine if he went back to editing Marvel.
>What did you say, son? That you won't make the deadline because someone disliked you on facebook? Well, don't worry, I know who can replace you... permanently.

No. He actually said:I want to protect that smile
>Since the New 52 relaunch of September 2011, DC Comics have cancelled and launched a number of books. But some have been the same book relaunched under a very similar title.
>That was the fate of Suicide Squad to New Suicide Squad, Teen Titans to New Teen Titans, Red Hood And The Outlaws to Red Hood And Arsenal, Constantine to Constantine The Hellblazer, Earth 2 to Earth 2: Society and Justice League 3000 to Justice League 3001.
>I am told to expect, after the fifty-second issue of the remaining big books in May, to see a number of titles undergo a relaunch and retitle. Possibly with new creative teams, possibly not. But it’s an easy way to get the benefit of an issue 1 bump, and maybe a way to refocus and advertise the appeal of a comic with a new title.
http://www.bleedingcool.com/2015/12/29/dc-comics-looking-to-relaunch-and-retitle-a-bunch-more-comics-in-2016/
What books would you like to see new teams on /co/? What do you think will be relaunched? Will any of it do any good? Is there an event coming up?
>>78513269
Just nuke Earth-2 and bring Power Girl, Jay and Alan over to Earth-1
Has DC not yet learned that nobody gives a shit about that universe
> to see a number of titles undergo a relaunch
What are they fucking Marvel renumbering & relaunching every 6 months?
>>78513295
It sells, Frost. More so than most of the DCYou line-up. Normies keep buying this shit. I'm sorry...
I can't fucking believe that we're getting deadpool, batman and superman in one film, a fucking civil war film, apocalypse, doctor fucking strange with doramammu, suicide squad with harley and RICK FUCKING FLAGG, a fucking gambit movie with channing tatum, a tv series about captain cold and hawkman featuring vandal savage, tv series about supergirl, detective gordon, muh arrow, flashy and fucking inhumans, all in one year, and all roads lead do darkseid and thanos.

I am an oldfag and truly it is a magical time. Before we were lucky to get the occasional Superman or Batman movie, now it seems like every few months there's something new in theaters or on TV. Especially now that they're getting into the lower-tier characters like Deadpool, Dr. Strange, and Suicide Squad.
