It seems all the big superheroes have at least one bizarre live-action project that never went forward to their name. In this thread we remember them.
>Superman Lives (1998).

Clark Kent is an introverted, socially awkward reporter who uses his extraordinary powers to protect the world as Superman, but is also alienated from the human race because of them. The discovery of an advanced artificial intelligence known as "K" in the Arctic forces Clark to face his extraterrestrial origins, while Brainiac,...

Following the traumatic murder of his parents, young Bruce Wayne is presumed dead and adopted by auto-shop owner Little Al and his son, Big Al. Growing into an unstable mechanic who roams the slums of Gotham in a one-man war against crime, using homemade weapons and leaving a mark in the criminals he confronts that earns him the name "Batman".
Batman joins forces with Detective James Gordon, an alcoholic, suicidal policeman fed up with the rampant corruption in the police department, to acquire evidence against Gotham's crime lord James Estrada, in the process incurring the wrath of the corrupt Commissioner Gillian B. Loeb, who begins targeting the duo's loved ones, including Little Al and Gordon's pregnant wife, Ann. To make matters worse, Selina Kyle, a power-hungry prostitute sexually aroused by the thrill of a crime, and who has build a rapport with Bruce, is inspired by the Batman to become a seductive criminal known as "Catwoman", and her intervention in the investigation elevates the scales even further. To protect Gotham, Bruce will have to embrace the mantle and become a true hero.
>Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne / Batman.

Daily reminder that this is valid for 99% of the people who are going to see Suicide Squad and Batman V Superman.

Who is she? Also good on him for calling her out.
What camera did they use, their asshole? This looks like Liveleak footage from 1992.

Video? Fuck your tumblr collage.
Why did Bendis become a meme but not Slott? What makes them different? What makes a writer meme-worthy?
>>78802551
Because the only people that give a fuck about Slott are Peterfags, and Peterfags are perpetual whiners.
Bendis exists beyond his pet characters, and even beyond his Marvel work. Like it or not, his work at Marvel in the past 16 years has set the stage for their market domination now. He created a character which just got a Netflix show that was well-recieved, one of his IPs has been launched as an exclusive for PSN which he is writing for. He's a multiple Eisner nominated and winning writer and is notably...

DO THE PEOPLE HAVE TO BEFREEDOM BEEF

Because as adults watching the show now, you identify with him way more than you did watching the show as a kid. He gets to occupy the entertaining contradiction of being fatherly proud of his girls' superheroics, but also genuinely worried for their safety. He's also a Pa Kent-tier perfect dad, for the same reasons - if you didn't buy for a second that he was the ideal father, you'd never buy their kids being so well-adjusted.
>both dogs

As you can see Danes are gangsta by nature. When not cleaning, they play fast and loose with the rules.
Anyone read this? What are your toughs?

*toughts

I only read the first issue. the art was great, the story and the world have potential, but it seems too manga-like to me.
Not sexy enough. You can't open up your comic with the slave auction of a cute brown amputee and then not go down the sexy route.
R.I.P. Frank Armitage (1924-2016)
He was a painter who did backgrounds for classic Disney movies like Peter Pan, Sleeping Beauty and The Jungle Book.
He also donated art for causes like medical education and promoting the preservation of silverback gorillas.
It's always nice to learn about the people behind beloved movies, even if it's after they die.

Are there any Marvel or DC supervillains that Muslim extremists? If not why aren't there any? I'm all for Muslim heroes like Kamala but we can't pretend like that there aren't any evil people who are Muslim. Also it wouldn't be islamophobic since there are tons of Christian villains and right now a Muslim extremist villain would be alot more relevant than Nazi villains. Also Holy Terror is shit.
>>78799708
Damn...I was hoping I could find the one other person in the world who thought holy terror was sort of fun. at the very least Frank Miller's art is phenomenal. I do enjoy me some post-sin city Frank Miller art, yessir.
Kamran from Ms Marvel

Holy Terror is so insane, it's amazing.
Could a Black Widow movie work?
What about a Netflix series?
>>78799561
No. Scarjo is near the end of her contract so it would cost too much
>>78799597
They could get a different actress to play her and just say that the first one was a robot that became evil.
A BW movie would have to have more fantastical/scifi elements to be notable enough to get a movie. If it sticks around the Captain America level of realism, without Cap, it would just be seen as a lesser Cap film.
Having BW be a baseline human fish out of water among superheroes, but putting her at the center of the narrative, is pretty tough. Arguably it was attempted in both Avengers films and failed.
The only way to pull off a baseline human hero like BW on a scale large enough to be movie-worthy and unique would be to basically make Metal Gear. Spy shit, martial arts, quirky miniboss squad of freaks and/or superweapons. At which point it might just be better to make a MG movie.
