Ugh. Talk about wasted potential. How the hell did this end up being such a boring slog? It's almost impressive just how much nothing happens in this story.

For one things, mutants of the X-Men variety don't real. But if they did, I'd absolutely support their having rights, not being hunted down by sentinels, etc.I'd also call people out on anti-mutant rhetoric, just like I do now when people are racist or sexist.

How the fuck did this turn into one of /co/'s most sought-after reads?
Blank slates and a broken clock being right twice a day. I really have no idea how he did it.
It's fun and not trying hard to be some super cosmic apocalypse event that is a completely muddled mess. Instead it focuses on what made older GL great: a small number of Lanterns protecting the Earth from space baddies. That and he's actually trying to give Simon a personality that is more than "I'm not a terrorist reeeeeee"
It also helps that the worthless colors haven't shown up yet. Any time a Blue/Indigo/Pink lantern shows up you know the issue is going to be retarded shit. They expanded the Lantern spectrum too quickly, as much as I enjoyed Johns' run. Sinestro Corps was a great concept to give some fresh life to Sinestro and really revive that Hal/Sinestro rivalry, and even the Red Lanterns are a decent idea for recurring villains for people other than Hal to deal with. Larfleeze was fine because he was mostly comedic relief and he was only a solo character and not a whole massive Corps.
Blue and Indigo corps only ever exist as plot devices - are the Greens about to get their shit slapped in? Toss a Blue into the story to supercharge them. Lanterns need to get across the universe instantly? Better have the Indigo's show up to teleport them. And then there's Star Sapphires who only exist to give Carol something to do other than bitch about Hal.
Also literally anyone is better than Venditti. I real can't belive DC is letting him continually shit all over Hal, Guy, and the rest.

Which I always had a problem with because prior to Johns, they could wormhole their ass across the universe.

Honestly, I thought the actual Batman Superman fight was the single worst fight scene in Snyder's history.
It genuinely felt like a CW fight in some parts, particularly when they're just throwing punches at each other on the rooftop.
