So I just binge watched Rick and Morty and I have a question /co/. In Rixty Minutes, it's implied there's very few dimensions where Jerry and Beth have Summer. Yet in Close Rick-counters of the Rick Kind, it's shown there's just as many Mortys in the universe as there are Ricks. And in Mortynight Run, it's shown that Jerry is still Rick's son-in-law in most if not all the dimensions.
So if there are few dimensions where Summer exists, why do most dimensions have a Morty and married-to-Beth Jerry?
Did they ever say the circumstances for Summer's birth? If it was an accidental pregnancy, then that would check out. Morty could be a constant
>>80858214
Yep, Summer was an accident. But in the one universe we saw where she was terminated, Beth and Jerry ended up splitting, at least for long enough that Morty was an impossibility. So... Is there something else that keeps Beth and Jerry together, but prevents Summer's birth?
Maybe in most universes, Beth miscarries Summer and the traumatic event causes Beth and Jerry to only grow closer.

Infinite universes.
Oddly enough, this show made me appreciate my Christian upbringing. I don't feel as estranged from it anymore. What were your reactions?
>>80857654
I thought it was a pretty great show.
Kind of like how they went for making bad parenting/families the big evil thing to criticize, rather than go fedora on religion, which, based on a lot of earlier episodes, is what I was expecting.
Also, it really surprised me how much detailed an overarching plot they put into it.
>>80858767
The show was never meant to be a potshot at religion. It's more about the hypocrisy of authority figures who've done nothing to deserve their authority.
>>80858842
I always thought it was more of just showing how some people have skewed values more than anything about authority figures. I still don't get why so many on the board think it is about religion though when it was never the direct thing criticized in episodes.
ITT name a show that sounds fucking unwatchable on paper but turned out to be somewhat decent in execution if not a great show in the end.
>Lets write a show about rich people polluting an entire town and the lower class citizens mutates into hellish abominations...and they're just OK with it
Does that little girl have a dick on her head?
>>80857407
I think its a tumor
She has been heavily exposed to radiation poisoning and her mom is a chronic drinker/chain smoker.
>>80857407
They call it a thing, I'm guessing it's a tumor. But the joke is it looks like a dick
So what has this nub been up to lately? Still shilling his usual crap?
>>80857310
He was going around buying up the rights to characters from other creators that Archie Sonic lost along with his own
>>80857310
He's trying to start another lawsuit with Archie.
Is it time for a /sveg/ thread!?!??!?!

I'm curious: why do people here lump in 00-05 cartoons with those from 06-09? Those were of completely different styles and feeling.
When people bring up the 00s, they seem to think it was nothing but Johnny Test, Skunk fu, post-movie SpongeBob, tweencoms, Flash/cgi, and Cn real on endless repeat. They're forgetting about shows from earlier in the decade like Samurai jack, Megas for, Billy and Mandy (old episodes).
2000-2005 WAS A TIME PERIOD THAT EXISTED, PEOPLE.
who's the black guy near the top? i know he's DC i can never remember him though

Static Shock. A guy who started off nice but then the Justice League/Batman Beyond crossovers happened and it became apparent there are way better heros than Static
Can you name every character in this Dark Horse Comics mural?
Other than The Mask, Hellboy, Alien and Predator I hardly know any of them.

>OH SHIT
So, I know Miles has been a lackluster character since his introduction but holy shit, this man has got my vote for GOAT.
Not even HE wants to be the "black" Spider-Man. He just wants to be a hero and help people. I can't believe...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
It is somewhat hypocritical given that Marvel themselves have marketed him in such a manner, but it was good especially since they remembered that Miles is not only just black.
Even Bendis can do something right occasionally I guess.
I love miles
>>80845589
Has Miles been good in the recent Cho-Hulk series?
I read the first issue and he was pretty alright in that
>comic is extremely popular because it focuses a dynamic and changing cast of superheros who come from diverse backgrounds and can stand in for different social issues of the time
>repeatedly subvert this because "muh original 5"
Daily reminder than any stories that aims to bring back Jean, Bobby, Warren (other than as archangel), Hank, and to an extent Scott is the cancer that is killing comics
Yeah we all know current X-men are bad
Reminder that it's also copied wholesale from a New Mutants mini.

Didn't it all start with editorial wanting to start up X-Factor, featuring the O5, which fucked over Claremont's wishes and starting the beginning of the end?
