What's /co/'s opinion on this show? The first season is free on Crackle and I was thinking about watching it to try to forget about the upcoming reboot aka Ballbusters.

It is not even remotely as politically correct as people make it out to be.

People ignored it back in the day because of the stupid title and the "diverse" cast, but it's actually as un-PC as it gets. The characters are all great, the plots are SUPER FUCKIN DARK and the two-part series finale where the Extreme Ghostbusters team up with the Real Ghostbusters to stop a sentient Bermuda Triangle that's eating New York is the fuckin tits.
Animation quality is kinda listless and the aesthetic is really drab, but otherwise it's a great show and worthy sequel to Real Ghostbusters.

I don't mind more diversity in comics. I think having more non-white guy heroes can be a good change in pace.
But I absolutely hate the trend of just replacing older heroes with newer, "diverse" identities. Why not create a new, tech-based hero that's also a black woman? Use an issue of Iron Man as a backdoor pilot for her introduction?
