The movies make heaps of money and sell heaps of toys. If cartoons of their ilk only exist to sell toys, one must ask how many for they can sell?

Let's have a historical storyime. This is "25 Images of a Man's Passion" published in 1918, it was the first wordless novel, a precursor to the graphic novel.
Drawn by Flemish artist Frans Masereel who was inspired by German expressionism. Masereel went on to create several wordless novels and was an inspiration for other artists of the style such as Lynd Ward, if you've read Understanding Comics you'll know Ward as the creator of Gods' Man, probably the best known Wordless Novel. COIE never happened, as a result, the multiverse is constituted of millions of alternate realities instead of just the 52, and Pre 52 Superman is coming to the New 52 reality with his Lois, and son John to seemingly take over as it's Superman. Zero Hour Paralax is also currently fighting New 52 Hal, and Earth 2 has a new planet after their original one was destroyed in World's End.
