Can we talk about Silver/Bronze vs Modern comics.
I've been reading a lot of older comics over the last couple months and I can pretty much say the Silver and Bronze ages were cared more about telling a story and creating new stories while the modern age comics just care about making big events or doing shocking world character events.
Is this pretty accurate?

Cal Arts almost ruin Bazooka Joe
This is your daily reminder that the 'cal arts style' bogeyman is a complete fraud. The egomanical diva who made the comment did so 30 years ago and the style in question was more akin to the art used in action cartoons in the late 80's to early 90's and bore absolutely no resemblance to the simplistic art used in current gen cartoons.
There's nothing wrong with being critical of over-stylization or considering modern cartoons lazy. Those are valid opinion. But the cal arts thing has reached meme status and should be treated accordingly, with disdain.

What's fraudulent is the idea that this is new. WB and MGM cartoons had the same basic style, as did shows in the 80s, 90s, 00s, etc
When a style is a hit with one show it will be emulated over and over again by others, people are welcome to hate it (I do, for one, it's just ugly drawing) but pretending it's unique to this era is stupid
