Police are also been criticized for their failure to render aid to the suspects in a timely manner. Their bodies were left untended for ten hours as a bomb squad was called in to search the bodies and the vehicle driven by the suspects. "Police don't leave Christians on the pavement after a shooting. This assumption that all jihadis have bombs is driven by Islamaphobia, bigotry and hate," explained Alia Salem with the North Texas chapter of the Council on American Islamic Relations, or CAIR.
