I couldn't handle the fact that the characters' personalities seemed more like bricks than humans
So is anybody else watching this? I think it's a very niche anime, but I've always been infatuated with the idea of entertaining people through oral story telling. It's kind of like theatre performing, but you can just bust it out whenever you'd like. So somehow I can watch a character talk to themselves for 5 minutes and I'm fucking enthralled.

It's fucking excellent but sadly underrated, maybe because rakugo isn't all that interesting a premise. But it's doing a god tier job of making it interesting, thanks to competant visual direction. Everything else is great too, the characterization, the music, the emotional build up, I'm really enjoying it.

Episode 9 was the best one yet. Rakugo is, in my eyes, the AOTS. It's so good at everything it does.
