This was the most depressing series I have ever seen. Beginning was good, but around episode 15/16 most characters turned into sad depressed turd.
Everyone said that End of Evangelion is supposed to be better ending than the last 2 episodes but I wish I never saw that movie.
Now I am not sure if I want to see the remakes/remasters, is the storyline the same or are there some alternate happenings?

I feel exactly the same way.

Yet I feel that many of the biggest fans of it don't. The most adamant Eva fans tend to be people who see some kind of ultimately positive message to it all; rarely are they the kinds of people who actually took the full brunt of what the series was going for. I've even seen fans who wished that they had been depressed by it on this gut level, just to experience that.

A stage event at AnimeJapan 2016 has announced that the previously announced new TV anime of the Nanatsu no Taizai manga will air in August 2016 for a total of four episodes on MBS and TBS networks on Sunday 5p.m. A key visual for the series has been unveiled on the official website.

The new series, an original story by mangaka Nakaba Suzuki, will be titled Nanatsu no Taizai: Seisen no Shirushi (The Seven Deadly Sins: Signs of Holy War). Animator Keigo Sasaki returns to create character designs for the series, while other lead members of the production staff have changed.
