In hindsight I'm really going to miss the Synchro arc. The plot was a bit slow and had a few major drags, but the character developments and story progression was pretty impactful.

I'm not gonna miss it because I'm really looking forward to XYz and seeing more of Academia and leo's keikaku. But I did ENJOY it. Fuck the haters, the budget forced them to drag things somewhat more slowly and not have quite as much Lancers interaction as many would have liked, but it was a great arc to build up Yuya from the kid who got his ass kicked by Reiji into the hardened duel warrior that'll be needed to take on academia. And it was far from filler. Honestly I feel that the first few episodes of Synchro with the street duels the underground arena and the prison were maybe too slow and not as relevant as what came next and that kinda soured people on the arc. But honestly I've been hooked ever since we first saw Reiji on the council room. maybe it's not as action-packed and directly relevant to the main plot as Standard, but I loved getting to know the Synchro dimension, the tension between the council and security, the mentality of "might makes right" that pervades the dimension and how it lead to some chilling moments like when Yuya told the audience what happened to the losers. And it all weaved quite well into Yuya's own character development. It was a great arc.

Whose idea was Elemental hero Neos? Can I punch them? That card doesn't represent Jaden very well as a normal monster, it should be a fusion. I just finished GX today and man, They really had to try hard to make Neos playable even by the anime's bullshit standards. I hate that Konami won't get a clue that any Performapal that's not a pendulum card is horrible and nobody buys or plays them.They need to stop making them. Reminds me of the vanilla monsters that plague Jaden's deck, the monster that didn't special summon a token or themselves or another monster in Yuma and Yusei's decks and Yugi's complete mesh mash of archetypes and I can forgive that one because the game was in it's baby state back then. There's no excuse for Konami to be this shit at Yuya's deck still.
Hopefully their smart enough to make sure the returning old characters have cards that affect ALL heroes, cyber angles and galaxy monsters.
