Fishing anon here.

I've now had 24 hours with my BM-8000, NB-37 arm and Somake 7.1. Here is my review.

The NB-37 adjustable microphone arm stand is pretty nice for the money, the cable that comes threaded through it is of good quality with a nice finish. The arm itself is double-sprung at both the mount and the midway point. The metal of its construction is not enormously high quality but it certainly gets the job done.

There is noticeable wobble if I give my desk a shove but it's very difficult to avoid that entirely even with far more expensive arms.

I am totally happy with the NB-37.

I ordered the same setup after I saw your pics yesterday.

I'm getting this just to do tutorial videos at my job, but do you think there's any chance in hell the stand can handle a Blue Yeti if I get another one? I use a Yeti at home.

Now for the main attraction, the BM-8000.

In terms of audio quality it is the same as the BM-800 on account of actually being a BM-800 in a slightly different shell, so there's not much to discuss there. However, having a built-in pop-filter and the electret mounted horizontally offers some advantages over the BM-800 in my opinion. My personal setup has the arm holding it upside down just above me, microphone itself pointing down, meaning that the electret is aimed straight at me, I find this ideal.

The build quality is nice, I like the red finish. The anti-shock mount is also nice, aluminium frame with elastic holding the microphone securely suspended.

Initially I could not get much of a response from the microphone, having connected it directly to my ageing soundblaster but that is where the next item comes in.

The Somake 7.1 USB sound card.

Without this little thing I wouldn't be able to enjoy the microphone because I don't have a phantom powersupply for it.

Having said that, this doesn't provide MUCH power, just ENOUGH for it to work. If I did have a phantom supply then i'd be able to turn the gain right down and still have it work perfectly, obviously lowering noise.

The build quality of the Somake is terrible, it is crappy plastic with loose flappy shitty buttons that i've not even pressed, a little green light that sometimes blinks and sometimes stays solid and the whole thing has bent a little while in my computer. But it does drive the BM-8000 and it was cheap so who am I to complain?

I've not listened to anything FROM the Somake, purely used it for the microphone, so I cannot comment on that, sorry.

>>54405780
At half a kilo I couldn't honestly tell you if the NB-37 would support it too well, I'm sure you could get it mounted with little issue but the yeti is a pretty hefty little dude.

How much do you have to pay in duty/import tax? Living in a communist country these are the rates I have to pay (cost is product+shipping):
<$14: free
>$14: $20 flat + 30%
>$100: additional 20%

So usually I can't even bother buying anything that is worth more than $14.

>Lived in your country, but the cunts in AusPost won't deliver to your home even when you stay at home all day.

I have that problem from time to time in the US. Those lazy motherfuckers don't knock at your door sometimes, they just leave the note and leave as fast as possible.

Fuckers just want to get through their route as fast as possible and get paid. It really is much faster than knocking on the door and then waiting for someone to open it and ect.
>>
>>54406051
Part of me doesn't like that.

I don't understand the customs from small, non-manufacturing countries.

In the US, we have the resources and land to manufacture more goods here, so I would think it would make logical sense for us to have a duty tax on that.
>>
You do pay import duty in the US but the breakpoint is currently $800, if your item is below that and not some specially taxed item then no duty is to be paid.

Over $800 and the duty could be as high as 37%.
>>
>>54405975

I just watched the MiPad 2 review that the other anon posted and I have one too. I don't have the flickering screen issues or the strange creak so he should probably exchange it. I did initially have some odd audio issues and I believe I resolved it by disabling the audio enhancements. I'm on my laptop right now but I pic related is what I had to set mine to. It's a little different on Windows 10 though.

Also, I did a fresh install on mine (Windows 10 Pro) and I installed the generic drivers where available instead of the xiaomi pack from techtablets. With the generic intel driver, the buttons at the bottom do not light up (but they do still work) which I prefer.

Hello /g/ents! I'm back!
Sorry for the latency in videos, unfortunately Chinese postage has ruined my upload frequency. Needless to say I'm waiting on a tonne of products.

I will be upgrading both my camera and my audio very soon. My next video will be direct comparison between the BM-800 and two generic microphones one of which I am currently using.

My latest video is about fishing gear also from China, super cheap stuff!
https://youtu.be/SwRnWdRxaEo

Some anon was looking for a solution for high qaulity bluetooth audio streaming, If you are still here this should do the job since it has Bluetooth 4.1 capability for higher bitrate streaming.

http://www.gearbest.com/speakers/pp_274582.html?vip=144464

Also still making a fortune with these, people will pay 10-15 USD for the headphones and approximately the same for the charger just because they appear to be "apple" like which is sort of dissapointing.

Got a Flanger Extend-o-Grip trainer in the mail today, among today's big haul from Chinksanta. Ordered two from Gaybeast (http://www.gearbest.com/guitar-parts/pp_282251.html) to build up finger strength, because I'm limp-wristed nerd.

People playing musical instruments are probably familiar with the Varigrip and its clones and/or alternatives. The Flanger is one of these alternatives. Impressions so far are very positive. Outer shell is plastic with a soft touch coating, the build quality is really solid and the thing is quite nice to the touch. The soft pads on the buttons and the palm guard appear to be silicone or something rubberized, not sure.
Doesn't feel flimsy at all, button presses are smooth and nice. Significantly cheaper than Varigrips, at 5.57 USD vs 15 USD, while doing the job just as nicely. Another interesting thing is the extendable fourth button, for training finger extension.
Note: if you've never played a musical instrument extensively or have had similar finger training, get the light or very light tension (green, yellow). The black medium one will be very stiff.

Oh, no. I just have really weak fingers and building up some strength would be nice. It also functions as a stress toy, to keep a hand occupied while I'm reading or watching something. And it's less than 6 bux.

Xiaomeme is a known quantity and an established brand, so a) build quality is likely to be consistent and b) you're likely to get updates. It also doesn't use a Mediatek chipset, so you'll get Cyanogenmod and various Pajeet ROMs once official support dries up, if you enjoy keeping your phones for more than a year. Plus the Oukitel is offensively fucking huge.

On the other hand it is cheaper. aiui the current poorfag phone is the Vernee Thor though.
>>
>>54416964
But I want that 6A battery.

Would it be similar to the 4100mAh battery in the redmi 3 because of the more efficient SD616 and 720p screen?

I just want best call time and screen on time.

Also preferably not too quiet microphone and phone speaker(the little one)

Hm, guess that means not a huge selection of keycaps? But then the thing isn't so expensive in the first place, so that's not that huge of an issue.

Right now I'm torn between getting a Magicforce with clears and a Royal Kludge. Royal Kludge seems nice due to the BT, so I could connect it to a tablet and stuff. Both keyboards seem to be fairly standard in layout too, so keycaps should fit no problem. Think a Poker II boardcase will fit on a RK?

My Roman S530 arrived.

Pretty solid, worth the 13 bucks. The Bluetooth reception is excellent, I can wander around 20-30 ft away from my phone before the audio starts chopping. The audio quality is okay, the clarity isn't amazing, and it's a bit too low-end focused for my taste. That being said I'm not sure if the clarity issue has to do with the limitations of bluetooth or just the driver quality.

The ear hooks are sort of flexible so it can hook tighter if you need it. Jogged a little with them, and they don't wiggle out while jogging, so pretty solid.

It comes with 2 ear pieces (L & R), micro usb to micro usb to connect the two ear pieces, and a usb to two micro usb connector for charging.

I haven't had a chance to use Left and Right earpiece together for an extended period of time. But I've been mostly using the right earpiece as a bluetooth earphone+mic, for work, and I get around 4 hour of battery, before it shutsdown.

Pretty solid, would recommend for anyone looking for low cost bluetooth iem's
