What does /g/ use for Stream/Screen Capturing videos?
I use pic related which works for most streams I want.
Is there a tool that can capture both streams and also does screen recording in case it cant detect the stream or screen recording neeeded for any other reason

Does that capture Skype video calls?
How true is this?

it's a pointer, not good, not horribly bad, if you lead yourself by an infographic like this because you're too lazy to read up on languages programming is not for you anyways

How would I know?
Why do they even bother doing lithography, wasting both copper and photoresistant solvents on the edges of the wafer that don't even form a complete CPU?

So for my 18th birthday, my mother booked us a trip in Singapore. Although I had somewhere else in mind, I was very grateful anyway and was very excited nevertheless. Singapore, as far as I knew was also a really nice country; we'd be going to Universal Studios, traveling around the city, etc. It was all cool -- until I found out that she booked us at a hotel in the red-light district.
And when I asked her about it, apparently, she didn't know what a red-light district was, and when I explained...

I'm part of the iCloud botnet. All of my pictures seamlessly upload to iCloud. iMessage makes communication on my computer amazing. Picking up a book is easy on multiple devices because of iCloud as well.
Anyway, I don't want to be a slave to it, I want the flexibility to use an Android device. Is there any workarounds to using an Android in this ecosystem?
Mostly, is there something like iMessage for android where I can send text messages from my computer easily? All the other apps I use are platform agnostic.
>>55643631
No but with Android you can fool yourself into believing that you own the device
>Mostly, is there something like iMessage for android where I can send text messages from my computer easily?
Yes, they're called email and SMS.

I already delude myself into thinking that I have control by jailbreaking my iPhone though.
I'm putting a 3-disk home server together, and I need a recommendation on drives. I currently have a 2TB WD Black, so I need two more.
Looking for 2TB 7200RPM SATA disks. Also not looking to spend a fuckton on them. Any thoughts?
HGST NASDrive
Now leave dave alone.
>>55643645
The Deskstar NAS? Is there anything else that I won't have to wear earplugs around?
P.S. The WD Black is still in the box, so I'm not sure how loud it is. If it's nearly as loud as Hitachis, I guess I'm fucked.
>>55643582
Looks like my best bet is WD Red for price or HGST 7K3000 for MBTF.
Is there any way to muffle the sound of a Deskstar? The server is going to be a media server, so it'll probably be relatively close to my TV.
>Make a 64 character password for a website account
The confirmation email the website sent me has the password in fucking clear text
>The password is displayed in clear text on my account control panel
Fucking hell, why do websites keep doing this? Hashing isn't some new concept.
>64 character
Whats the point
>>55643531
Well, it's supposed to make the hashes more difficult to crack.

All that shit running in your notification bar isn't good for your phone either.
I had a laptop fixed by a local computer repair store (they replaced my motherboard). A couple weeks later, my computer froze and the screen turned to a solid white screen with horizontal gray bars. I had to turn it off. A couple weeks after that my computer kept crashing after only an hour or so of use. I took it back to the repairman and he said it was my hardrive, but the screen with white bars was my video card. He already said he would fix the motherboard if it was faulty. Could the defective motherboard have messed with my hardrive? He's making pay him $79 for a new...

>$79 for a new hardrive
tell him to eat shit.
Get him to repair the screen
Buy a new hard drive for yourself if it really is kill
The white bars are not caused by the hard drive
>>55643421
He already downloaded windows on it. I'd have to buy windows again for $85 anyways if I bought a new hardrive, so it comes out cheaper this way.

If you could have the money and the resources to design your perfect laptop, how that laptop will be?
Mine:
>3:2 OLED or IPS at 4095x2730 15.4"
>Magnesium Alloy body
>a traditional 7-Row keyboard, but with the switches of the Lenovo Y900, spill proof of course
>A design so modular that you only need to undo six screws to get to the motherboard out of the shell, without the need to take apart the keyboard
Literally, I...

Android is based on Linux
It's possible
>>55643135
Android *is* Linux, but that's not the point. Unless you're running barebone Android (which nobody does, because it's fucking useless), Android is Linux + a bunch of proprietary Google services that speak to the Google botnet without your knowing.

At least FileVault is available to all Macs. More than likely it will be made mandatory once APFS rolls out.
Meanwhile, Windows Home users get nothing out of the box.
I just got this in the mail and I can't figure out why it isn't working. My computer recognizes that it's there, but I can't find where to actually use the damn thing. Help please! Here it is on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/112016051345?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
