Okay so I mostly lurk here but this is a question that has been bothering me and I think this is the best place to ask it. How would someone know whether they are a witch? My great grandmother was one, she mostly dealt in healing and such but there were also a few curses. My grandmother and mother seemed to be normal and they haven't had anything weird happen to them so what is the likelihood of this 'power' or whatever skipping them and being passed to me? And is there a way to find out?

Not sure, desu. But my great grandma and my mom were/are pretty psychic. AFAIK, no one in my generation has the same abilities. Maybe it skips and it's every other generation. I suggest learning a basic how to cast a circle ritual.
Essentially you draw a circle on the ground in chalk or use string to form a circle and place four candles of your choosing at each axis. North, West, South, and East.
North is Earth, West is Water, South is Fire, East is Wind. The center of the circle is Spirit which is where the Witch sits.
I recommend you meditate on each candle and ask the respective element to give you their blessing and to enter the circle with you.
Then meditate on Witchcraft and the Demonic god you wish to speak with. I suggest King Satan, King Belial or King Lucifer. Another demon of your choosing would work as well.
Focus your energy on them and call out to them in your mind and they will answer.
