Hey /x/, 15 days ago I made a thread about 3 knocks being heard randomly without explanation at 2:30ish, and tonight it happened again, but this time there were two sets of the consecutive knocks.
As I said in the first thread, the bedrooms in my house are located on the second floor while the bottom part of the house is kitchen dining ect. No roommates and no way to get to where I heard the knocks.
I was laying in bed fucking around on my phone without earbuds around 2:45 am. Then I hear the threads knocks on my right which is where the window is, then about 3 seconds later I hear another set of three knocks on the wall next to me. My bed is set up against the wall so it sounded very close.
Each knocking made different sounds, since the material whatever it knocked on is different, so that made me believe I'm not crazy.
But I'm freaked the fuck out. Is someone going to die? Am I being followed by something?
And I really appreciated all of your stories and experiences you guys shared in the last thread. I encourage more stories or advice, I'm still trying to calm down and I'm shaking as I type.

I've had that happen before. First time was when I shared a room with my little bro on the 2nd floor. Heard three very loud intentional knocks on the window. He was forever scarred and I had to move my bed to the window side of the room. More recently, last year I was suffering insomnia and had to work in 2 hours, and I was wide awake, and heard 3 loud knocks, and I was extremely confused who would do that at 6 in the morning, and bolted up immediately to see who it was, and nobody was there. Immediately threw on shoes and ran around the perimeter of my house and nobody was there. And yes I live in Florida. Why is this a normal thing, as anon stated?

lived here most of my life and encountered the knocking too.
it was on a second floor, but from inside my walk-in closet.
wasn't just three knocks, though.
it had a pattern to it that started usually around 10pm and ended around 3 every 20-30 minutes or so.
it has started out as just once or twice a night, then eventually stopped alltogether after about 6 years.
it went 3 medium-fast knocks, 5 rapid knocks, then 3 slow knocks. Always in that patern.

After my grandmothers funeral my grandfathers brother (ie my moms uncle) drove us home. He started to tell how he had been home sitting in a room one evening (second floor villa) and there was some distinct knocks on the window. Of course it could just have been tree branches, but he said it was a bit spooky and felt like as if it was my grandmother saying good bye.
So my mother asked me if I had experienced anything and I told them about my grandmothers old acoustic guitar.
One night when I was sitting in my bed watching tv, suddenly *bang* the guitar that had been leaning against the wall for months without me touching it, somehow fell down on the guitar amp next to it. Being acoustic the strings rang unexpectedly loud and I tried to replicate the fall and sound the next day but it wasn't as loud to how I'd experienced it. And once the kitchen lamp was swinging which spooked me the fuck out, but I can't blame that one on grandma.
Both incidents was like within a week after she had passed away and I don't live in the US.

Florida is pretty spooky. I'm convinced the last house I lived in was haunted. There was just a general bad feel to it and there were constant maintenance problems. We had a contractor in every month it seemed, because things just kept going wrong. It fell apart after just five years, despite several contractors not finding any construction faults or issues with the drywall (which we thought was causing the leaks and electrical problems). There was like one week of the house flooding, mold appearing, and lights flickering before we just left.
We've been gone from it about 4 years, I went to check it out a few months ago. It's easy to get into because none of the locks work, they never worked no matter how many times we replaced them, and the bank that foreclosed it didn't seem to know it. The air inside is thick, I felt like I was suffocating after just a few minutes. The wood on the banisters has rotten off and the stairs have holes in them. There was a big chandelier in the front hall, the contractors said rats had chewed through the cables holding it in place and that it was likely to fall before we moved out. It's still hanging there.
While living there, I was always uncomfortable to be alone so I would often just hang outside around the neighborhood. When walking through the hallways I would have the need to constantly look over my shoulder. My siblings and I would often congregate to the same room at night because we were uncomfortable staying by ourselves. I had a lot of weird nightmares and often sleep paralysis. It's weird thinking about this now, we lived in that house for 5 years...

If you live in a bad neighborhood, it's common in some areas for people to come up, knock on your door, pretend there's an emergency, then beat the shit out of you and steal all your shit. I don't think it's that hard to have a camera ready and recording, at 2 AM, in your hand, go throughout the house once the knocking is heard to show that there isn't anybody there, and take a bit of time to upload it to YouTube.

I'm not sure if anyone has these video's available, but there was a guy who had a similar situation and would wait around for these times to roll around so he could open his door to see who or what was behind to knocks.
When he attempted to open the door during the knocks, no one was there, so you could be in a similar situation. I'll look around to see if I can find the video's again. If so, I'll post them here.

In Ireland we have a legend about the three death knocks that occur around 3am (the witching hour) a time when spirits are thought to be at their most powerful. It is usually a sign of bad things coming

I posted about this last night also, I live in Florida (386) and around 3 I hear knocks from my window or something. Glad to hear a fellow Anon is having the same problem.
Don't know if it's been said but generally, 3 knocks is a mocking of the holy trinity, meaning it's demonic. My recommendation is get a priest or a good realtor

Pretty sure its common in the south, just the house settling/plumbing. Have it all the time in georgia, my stairs knocked for hours on end for no reason at night. Hasn't happened in months but its normal.
