Never been to /x/ before but I just had to tell someone what happened. I woke up about half a dozen times last night in sweats. Crippling and out of my mind fear. My arms and legs didn't respond and there was phantom pain crawling back down my sides and limbs almost as if being cut off from my head and withering away. Each time I just paralyzed in unprecedented fear in the dark of my room. I've never had panic attacks but they sure as fuck felt like it.
The dream was just never ending. Between the horrors in my head and finally waking up and unable to move then drifting back into the same place I left off. I have never in my life ever experienced a dream and waking sequence this fucking terrifying. I am shaking just thinking about it. I'll tell you the dream best I can remember it.
The entire world was shades of black and grey. I think there may have been color but it was so toned down I couldn't tell. The wilderness as well, few wooden structures but not in a city. There were others. Dozens of people scattered too and fro, everyone clad in grey. It was some kind of demented game or scenario. I never got the rules laid out but after dying several times I figured the rough idea. I felt compelled to open these small boxes. In the box was one of two items. A small simple flip phone or a toy.
If it was a phone I was given a task. I cannot remember the voice. Almost as if it simply directed the thoughts into our heads. The orders were either directions to a new location and box or to do something terrible to another person. Items were left behind. Knives or rope to hunt down and kill or to leave them bound for someone else to find and torture. Everything made my stomach crawl but I knew if I didn't do it worse would happen to me. I murdered dozens of people. Not clean or fast. Or was ordered to cut from my own flesh. Put out one of my eyes. Lit myself on fire. I did it all over and over. The other item in boxes were toys. Simply small knick knacks. Small bears or a ball or some crayons. Each time it meant you were dead. It wasn't some jump scare the toys come alive and kill you. No it was almost always environmental. Like the floor would open up or water filled the room with no way out. Occasional something came and took me and the other. No shape or noise it just came and you were gone but you could feel it taking you.
At this point it doesn't sound very scary but I cannot stress enough how much pain I remember. Not just terror or being scared. Something was causing my pain I can still feel in my muscles. It was all so surreal. It felt like I was stuck somewhere and the others are other people in the world sharing my same dream. That we were trapped there to die over and over and to feel agony until we finally woke. Only to be helpless to stop from going back to sleep. I am scared guys. Has this happened to others or is a common thing? I never want to go back there.
Oh good. Literally no one else has ever had this. That is deeply fucking comforting. I am just the one going back into my fucking bed to be tortured and abused. Fucking hell is there a drug I can take that suppresses dreaming?
I came from a place that similarly fits your description. The air is of smoke, almost like a haze. The image of your victims are branded into your memory as you awake for a short time spam before slipping back in. Welcome brother to the game.

Please do not fuck with me. I really am truly 100% honestly frightened of sleeping right now. I don't remember a haze but everything was so grey and black I don't even know if I'd noticed it. The things I did to other and myself. I am on the verge of throwing up. I flayed the skin off my own arm in strips. I was sobbing in pain but I had to do it. Please don't fuck with me man. Yea, night terrors suck. I've had them all week this week. Monday it was "oh fuck my wife changed her hair color and won't kiss me", and there was also a "shit, some dude drove my truck and ran out of gas!!" And thw fucking TOPPER was last night where a chubby hispanic guy tried to pickpocket my phone.
Shit sucks, for sure. Anyway, just roll over and go to sleep and stop being a little bitch. That should help.

As I said I don't believe in spooky ghosts or /x/ shit but I woke up in pain. In my dreams I was in agony or disgust. Both of which carried over into my waking state in which I COULD NOT FUCKING MOVE. I suffered torture in my dream but the real agony began after the 2nd time I woke unable to move. I couldn't tell what was dream or not. If I was awake how could I be in pain? I felt those strips of flesh singing my nerves and my eyes out. Incredible pressure and pin point burning in my eye where I put them out with a rod I held in a fire.
I am ok with bad dreams. This infested my waking state and then continued on like nothing changed. I just shot gunned 8 10 hour energy shots., I will not go to sleep again. I refuse.
I want to go to a hospital but I am sure they will sedate me. I know they will.

As much as I'd love for there to be something paranormal here, this is simple but shitty. So you had a brutal nightmare, then sleep paralysis. Your brain basicslly shit itself and msde your body feel what it thought it was suppposed to. This is fairly comon. Once, a man was shot wih red paintballs, so his brain said he was dying, so he died. He wasn't even injured, his brain just said "die" to his body. This is similar. Simce you woke into sleep paralysis, a state already confusing to the waking mind, after a relatively traumstic dream, your brain shit itself and made you feel those things. Since you were so heavily focused on it, the dream continued, which is cslled lucid dreaming. As you were buttfucking terrified, you didn't realize the scope of control you had. Don't worry, fall asleep to some chill, comfy movies or TV and you will feel less and less of these memories.
Also, stop doubting the power of the human mind.
