What is a dead man?
Is a dead man a man who is dead? Is a dead man a man who became dead? Perhaps he was once considered alive, but is no longer considered that way, and the absence of life is death? Is a dead man not a man, but simply dead? What would make the dead men, such that we could describe the dead as men and the dead who are men are dead men? Or is it that there are no dead men, for there is only the dead, and to be a man is to not be dead? Perhaps then it follows that to be a man is to be alive, as such that there is an absence of death around that man, and thus the question of dead men is ironic, sarcastic or otherwise a paradox? Or is a dead man something other than either the dead or a man, but another concept that follows the ideas embodied in both men and the dead?
What makes a man dead?
Does the absence of all life in every cell of a man's body make that man dead? Does the lack of pumping blood in his veins make him dead? Or the still heart, or the clot in his blood? Perhaps what makes a man dead is the failure of his organs, the poison in his veins or the electricity that still hums through his nerves? What if it was the thorn in his side, the knife in his back or the lead that sits still in the roof of his mouth? Maybe instead what makes a man dead is the dullness in his eyes, the lack of emotions on his face, and the stillness of his body? Does it make a man dead when he does not lift his own fingers, when he does not breath, or when he doesn't speak? Does the refusal to eat, drink or willingly sustain himself make a man dead? Is a man who has no reason to live made dead? If he has no desire to live, is he made dead, or is it no desire at all? Is what makes a man dead when he sees no life in his future, or when he sees nothing at all in his future? If nothing lies ahead of the man and he is dead, then does it make a man dead when nothing lies before him? Or is it that everything lies behind a dead man?

Hey /x/, let's have a thread about dreams
The other night I dreamed that I hit it off with a girl while I was waiting in line to go to a job interview. We talked about death and feeling depressed. I went into the interview, but it wasn't like a regular interview, they just kept criticizing my appearance and telling me that I wasn't a good fit. I ended up leaving confused and met up with the girl I talked to in line.
She led me to a closet, and I thought that we were going to get intimate, but instead she pulled out a bunch of grapes. She said that the grapes were poisonous, but you had to eat every grape in order to die. She said that Jewish women used to use that method of suicide in order to make a political statement. I just kind of stood there awkwardly, and she said "I thought you were into this kind thing." I told her I didn't really like Jewish people and left.
What does it all mean?

Sounds dickish, I know, but it's the truth. It's because dreams are so insubstantial. Freud put the legwork into interpreting them, got closer than anyone, and people still think he's a fraud. And they're sort of right.
The problem is that a dream is important to you, but it's just gibberish imagery to anyone else. It's like clipping fifty random ten second movie clips together with no structure most of the time.
There are exceptions, but those are, "the most interesting dreams of all time," and I promise that I'll think I've had more of those than you, and you'll think you've had more of those than me, and everyone else will think we're both assholes and ignore us.
It's how you know you've found a really true friend or lover or whatever. The first time, sober, you both sit down and say, "I want to tell you about this dream I had," and they are all genuinely eager to hear about it?

I was thinking about how when ever you hear people speaking of "Alien races" most of the time you hear about them having a smaller colony (on their "home" planet), weird right? I mean, they're an advanced species. How can we out populate them?
As i said in my last post, I've been lurking/posting on /x/ for a long time now, and whenever I see a thread about aliens, there is at least one person who says something along the lines of "they have given us a message... Having a smaller population is what you need to prosper". Yeah that's cool and all, but we're at 8 billion and counting. That's not going to happen soon. Plus, how the hell do you know this? I get you're super advanced and all of that jazz, but there has to be a reason they know this.

I feel like that reason is this, they were in a situation very similar to ours (over populated, war, drastic climate change, etc) as well as their technological advances. But after all of those years of war, and citizens rallying about the climate change when their governments realized their planet was in total dismay, and there was no saving it. In that, they had to pull together and find a way to advance their civilizations, and not go extinct. That solution, was to turn to space, advance in the ways they had to, and colonize another planet. This would have been one hell of a lot of work, and only a certain amount of people would be able to go. Once they decided who would go, and who would stay (to ultimately face their demise, to a dying/dead planet) they sent them with a message, and a new way of life.
I believe that is exactly what was needed for them to be able to become such an advanced species, and I think that is exactly what is going to happen to us. The signs are all here, it isn't on that kind of scale yet, but it has begun. Who knows of it will happen in our life time, or our kids life time... But it isn't too far away. The human race is so close to becoming an advanced civilization. But earth sadly needs to fall for that to happen.
Now my questions to you are;

Anybody got some tips on how to manifest money through Magick?
I think I have a decent grasp on the concept of Law of Attraction, but I'm not versed in Magick at all. I always thought they basically work the same way. Is that really the case or is there something more to magick that I'm not aware of?
I have a decent enough time acquiring objects through LoA, but I haven't had much success with it in terms of money. Objects aren't so hard. I get lots of gifts or find great deals on things, but I've never really just had money manifested in large quantities. So I was wondering if any of you guys have had success manifesting money through magick and you have any tips on how to learn to do that.
