Have you ever thought that ufos arent what we think they are what if they arent space aliens or little green men like we often think...my theory is that ufos are a distant more evolved version of us where their technology has advanced so much that they have finally invented a time machine and have come back to visit us look at how we have evolved from apes to who we are today maybe "greys" or any other "alien" is actually us but we have evolved over time??? Think about that.

My daughter was having trouble sleeping and had an optometrist appt booked the next day. I was talking to her about some visual disturbances she has been experiencing - which she describes as a checkered pattern/grid and colored dots overlaying her vision. In the middle of the discussion she unexpectedly told me of a little girl she has seen often in our house who sometimes appears happy, and at other times has blood dripping from her eyes and mouth. I asked if she has told anyone, and she said she has told her sister, but she is only 4yo and ran to her mother screaming and claiming her sister was saying scary things. She did not sound at all like she was making it up and upon questioning if she had been watching scary videos, said that she has never seen any videos with blood in them. I understand children have vivid imaginations and this is all probably completely normal in a lot of ways, but the whole conversation which happened days ago still has me feeling spooked. Regardless of any doubts I told her I believe her and she can talk to me about such things whenever she feels scared.
Does /x/ have any thoughts? Please try to keep this as serious as possible. Side note: her eye appointment showed no abnormalities whatsoever in her vision.

I would agree with this. Religion is used to provide a framework for life. Deities represent various archetypes, the festivals mark the progression of the wheel of the year.
Lovecraft's pantheon is a set of horror characters. He surely never intended anyone to actually worship them. They're not even really scarier than the scary deities of the old world. Go re-watch the "Night on Bald Mountain" segment from Disney's Fantasia. That's good stuff right there.
I was sleeping last night. All of a sudden I heard my own voice in the sleep saying my name with a panic. I woke up as soon as this happened. Nothing was wrong that i know of.I don't think I was sleeping talking. Never had this happened before I find it a bit wierd. Any explanations?

I know most people don't even know this show exists, but I shit you not, there's an episode that has some sort of subliminal message. It's called "Scaredy Cat", it's the Halloween one with the aliens.
At the scene where they're in space, Gordon talks to his brothers about how evil has come to cocoon them on Halloween. While this is happening, a small picture of Hovis dressed up as a rabbit (this was a scene in another episode, surprisingly) pops up for a few seconds. It's really odd and random.
I saw this part back when I saw the episode on TurboNick in 2005. However, when I saw a newer rip from Nicktoons Network, it wasn't there. Maybe they scrubbed it out later airings.

I do that all the fucking time and I've never had anything like this happen. Usually, if I see anything, it's just colored blobs and patterns moving around in the darkness, not one of the most vivid and intense things I've ever experienced.
Seriously, I'm a daily stoner and I've mixed pyschs and not had anything near as powerful as that happen, and it's never that fucking loud. If visuals are gameboy pocket graphics, that shit was IMAX in 3D.

That's called meditating. You can think of it as a "deep focus state" as there are multiple levels it seems. Being high probably alowed for increase blood flow to various parts of your brain as well as increased dopamine. Dopamine is hormone. Hormones are chemicals. Chemicals are magick.
