Tell me aboout gnosticism, /x/
Why is it bullshit?
What do you truly know?
How are spirit posessions treated and considered in this religion?
>>17296476
Treating someone like they're possessed tends to make them believe they are possessed. I'd recommend not doing that.
>>17296476
There are gnostic streams or branches in pretty much every religion. Suffis in islam for example write the most beautiful poetry, look up rumi and hafiz. Of course there are also western branches of gnosticism, from the gospel of thomas to the works of c.g. jung even.
I was once convinced of being possesed by some divine spirit, if you want to call it that, at least it felt this way. After this experienced I read alot of religious and occult texts, also gnostic texts, and they come as close as it gets when it comes to putting such a gnostic experience into words.
So as far as I'm convinced it's not at all bullshit and rooted in real experiences with god instead of some dogma, I like Gnosticism, still wouldn't sign up to any particular religion because of it.

Tell me about lord ganesha and why one should worship him
He's a pretty cool guy, I think he'd appreciate it if you worshipped him so why wouldn't you?
>>17296290
You don't worship this pathetic idol.

Maybe try the toxic gas through the keyhole one.

Grab a knife, mumble voodoo, stab yourself and you'll die.
It actually works.
It's 9 AM in my country, and this night I lived a strange experience.
At some moment I woke up and realised that I was sitting on the edge of the bed. I was sweating and god, my skin was itchy like never. I tried to get back to my pillow. After several minutes, I realised that I was on the opposite side (see pic related). I was scratching my back very hard.
I finally returned in my bed and I just remember falling asleep while scratching my skin...
What was it ? Some strange somnambulism ?
That happens if you thrash around in bed a lot happened to me about once a week when I was ten
tell me neo, is that bed real? can you taste that bed? can you touch that bed? what makes you think that bed is not a holodeck of radio coils? one cannot be told what the matrices is, you have to sleep on it for yourself.

>>Taxi drivers in Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture, which had been devastated by the tsunami and earthquake of March 2011, began having strange encounters the summer after the devastation — and in record numbers — the summer after the tragedy.
>>One driver picked up a woman wearing a coat. She climbed in his cab near Ishinomaki Station and told him,“Please go to the Minamihama (district).” The driver asked her, “The area is almost empty. Is it OK?” Then, the woman said in a shivering voice, “Have I died?”
>>Surprised at the question, the driver looked behind him at the backseat. No one was there.
>>17296174
Ishinomaki resident here (no, really...I've lived here ten years). I've heard about these stories, too. Taxi drivers drive a passenger to a location in the tsunami zone and when they get there, the passenger is gone. Sometimes there is just a puddle of water on the seat.
The local university is actually collecting stories like these as part of the 3-11 history project. They'll probably publish them in book, which will be in Japanese unfortunately.
There are also stories about people hearing voices in the areas that were devastated. I haven't seen any stories about ghost photographs or videos yet.

You might also check out this article, which tells the story of a man who believes that he was possessed by the spirits of tsunami victims.

Hello /x/.
Perhaps you can help me find information about a tale I heard about on Discovery channel years ago.
It's supposedly about a haunted mirror in an abandoned estate. Basically the mirror is sitting on the corner of the entrance stairs and whenever someone goes in there is the reflection of a lady who can be either happy, or sad/sobbing.
What I remember of the story is that if you went in and saw the lady smiling, it meant you were welcomed into the estate, but if she was sad or crying, it would mean you would have to get the fuck out of there ASAP, apparently announcing the presence of a harmful spirit at the time of your visit.
That's all I can remember, if someone remembers it as well and can provide more info I would greatly appreciated.

Should've posted here, OP. >>17285280
Sorry, thought it would generate more interest.
Have you tried googling? I haven't heard this one. I'll see what I can find.
Why is there no /nope/ thread?
My dad told me weird stories about me recently, when he and my mom where talking about dumb stuff my siblings and I used to do.
>I was 5 or 6 years old
>Daddy suddenly wakes up late at night
>Gets creepy feeling that he's being watched
>Looks in the doorway
>Sees me standing in the doorway, not moving
>Can't see my face, not sure if I'm awake or not
>Asks me what I'm doing
>Whisper "Daddy, make him go away..."
>What
>"He won't leave me alone."
>Suddenly turn and walk away
>Goes into my room and finds me on the bed sleeping, completely alone
>Goes back to bed
>Next day he's getting me up for school and I have a black eye
>Panics and asks me about last night, who was in my room
>Tell him I don't know what he's talking about, didn't feel any pain in my eye
> daddy
Only nope i see here is that you're still calling him daddy
>Why no nope thread?
Because the weekend shitposters are out in full force instead.
>Be in the middle of Nowhere, WI, USA on the highway
>It's 3am and I've been driving for 2 hours, using GPS
>Tired, falling asleep, have to pee
>Make random right turn into a back road to pee and rest
>GPS scolds me, turn it off.
>Make a left to hide from traffic. Sign says "Salem Road."
>Ten seconds into Salem Road I stop to get out and pee
>Suddenly in an enormous graveyard, no other sign of life to speak of
>I'm not peeing here
>Get back in car, drive down Salem a ways, get out and pee, try to sleep
>Can't sleep, strong anxiety.
>Turn on GPS and hit the 'Go home' button
>Leads me to the graveyard
>Stops at the graveyard
>Nope
>Spends the next half hour scolding me and attempting to lead me back to Salem Road
>Gun for home and don't stop
I've only ever seen that road once in the dozen times I've made that drive.
Did you ever experienced something related to rituals? Last year someone left on the base of the tree next to my house door a lot of corn with other stuff like feathers, here people call it 'macumba' from umbandas. The thing is that i used to laugh at this stuff but since this happened all went downwards in my family.
To go on more detail, my sister is very sick and went from being and independent woman to be postrated with strong pains every day, sge barely walks. I went completly crazy, my mother srarted having strong abdominal pains with blood loss and my father seems good by far, just normal stuff with his heart.
>>17295744
Its a Brazilian voodoo, wtf op, get some help and also try to find out who did it, you got enemies?
>>17295761
Shit, man. I don't but my sister does. It's there something we can do?
how do you communicate with the dead?
i can get out of body with astral projections, but haven't mastered them to well. otherwise, all i've had are dreams.
>>17295743
Personally, I prefer blurring the boundary around their death.
You cant, they're gone.
If people have séances claiming they can speak to the dead, they're actually speaking to fallen angels.
>born catholic
>loved the teachings of jesus
>wanted to be a saint
>but got disillusioned with the church
>began reading about buddhism and hinuism and new age
>read philosophy and fiction and history
>become interested in occult practices
>read crowley, spare, regardie, fortune, bardon, wilson, leary, grant, eliade, evola, hine, carroll, etc.
>could never get into the pomp and ceremony of "high magick"
>mainly dabbled in sigils and meditation and visualization and astral projection
>had lots of interesting experiences
>but lately have felt the confines of chaos magick to be too restricting
>want to practice the rituals from some book with a magical partner
>but have no wizard or witch friends
>only pleb friends
>just know losers who think witchhouse is as deep as occultism goes
>or people who believe ayy lmaos come from other planets and can't be contacted with magic
justkillmenow
>become interested in occult practices
I could have written this post, but I am only up to this point.
Besides being lonely, do you enjoy the Occult practices?
I hope you find someone to practice with :(

I think there's magick meetups at the fringe board on 8ch.
Check it out

Go to church, speaking from experience, all Catholics are mad as loons & are just covering.
Find the most devout heads in your town & start a prayer group where you read commentaries and not just scripture.
You'll be a wizard in three years, tops!
1st investigation, no encounter.
A few days ago I asked you guys for advice on local spooks in the Houston area. With a hundred dollars and my phone I went to hwy6 to a side street known to have events of emf based voices and so on, but no physical encounters recorded.
I'd like to say something neat happened, but nothing did. I walked around for a few hours talking to my phone recorder and hiding behind walls when cops drove by, but nothing happened. I listened over all four hours of the recording, tried messing with audiofilters and even went back and tried to converse directly with supposed spirit only to get told to go home by police after being subjected to a field sobriety.
For my first investigation I give a 0/10 no spooks

Gotta bring offerings.
Good for you Ruger. Don't let that get you down though, try again. It's better than your alternative
>>17295595
Any more explores planned?
I have no idea whether anyone wants this thread up or not, but essentially it's for anons to get help finding /x/related shit they forgot about.
I have no idea if this was fake or not, but there was a picture of a woman that was supposedly taken before her death. She was in some open tower, in a black dress, and her hands were outstretched towards the camera. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and if they do, is it real?
Pic unrelated
>>17295587
you talkin' about this?
