/x/ I'm really not the kind of guy who believes in paranormal activity of any kind. But I started visiting this board about a year ago, because I like the spooky stories and you say some crazy shit. Guess it's my turn to sound a bit crazy.
About half a year ago there was a Missing 411 thread and some Anon posted transcripts of about a dozen of the stories of missing kids and people. This peaked my interest and for a while I started looking into bigfoot myth/legend/shady documentaries and so on. But after a while I just forgot about it. Then for some reason,...

This stuff is very interesting, I've seen a few of David Paulides interviews online. I've also spent some time in national parks by my lonesome and I could see how easily someone could disappear.

Can we get a serial killer thread going?
>In 1991 search of Allen's residence. He owned and wore a Zodiac brand wristwatch. Allen lived in Vallejo and worked minutes away from where one of the first victims (Ferrin) lived and where one of the killings took place. A DNA comparison was also made with the DNA of Don Cheney, who was Allen's former close friend and the first person to suggest Allen may be the Zodiac Killer. Since neither test result indicated a match, Allen and Cheney were excluded as the contributors of the DNA, though it...

Is there any value in trying to worship/reach/communicate with gods of dead civilizations?
Is it even possible and if so is anyone able to point towards any particular text that could be of value?
I'm not big on religion but the ancients certainly had the best gods.
>>17359149
If the phone you talk into may or may not have someone listening on the other end is it worth the effort?
It is a simple question OP, but you will find your answer in it.
>>17359149
1. THEY ARE NOT "GODS", BUT DEITIES, AND THOSE DEITIES ARE DJINN/DEMONS/GHOSTS/DEVAS/ETCETERA, MOST OF WHOM ARE "EVIL".
2. DEFINE "VALUE".
3. YES, IT IS POSSIBLE.
4. WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO WORSHIP ANYONE/ANYTHING BUT GOD?
>>17359163
>4. WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO WORSHIP ANYONE/ANYTHING BUT GOD?
Implying a god that requires worship is not evil or one of these false gods
Where were you when the End Gods came?

What are "end gods"?

Tell me more
It's hard to say why I chose to write this here. I've been a regular on 4chan for a long time, and what I'm about to tell you is NOT a creepypasta or anything like that, but more of a warning. Has anyone here ever heard of the movie Prophecy, or seen those mutated bears in Fallout? I live in Sullivan County of Pennsylvania. Up here, a method of extracting natural gas called "Frac Mining" is taking place. In short, they drill to shale, and "crack" it by using a cocktail of over 100 carcinogenic compounds.
A lot of things exposed to these...

I suppose the point to this story, or maybe even the purpose of Rawhides existence is to serve as an example. Whatever you folks do, don't let the Frac Mining industry invade your homes. If they don't kill everything, they'll create something terrible.
From Erie. This interests me.

Alright /x/, I just saw some really creepy tall things in the woods behind my place (live in the country).
I tried to draw it as best as I could.

A friend has suggested (demanded) I watch Twin Peaks, and I've tried, honest, but I just can't stay focused. It starts slow - does it stay slow? I've watched about half of season one, but I'm having trouble connecting to any of the characters enough to care about the plot. Maybe I'm not ready to watch? I was born in the late eighties, and totally watched and loved X-Files, but for some reason Twin Peaks just doesn't work for me. I'd like to know all about it without skipping to the end or reading episode synopsis. Suggestions?
Not a good enough excuse. I was born in the 90s and love Twin Peaks. It may seem slow at first but you'll begin to love it. S2 gets a bit annoying but is still worth the watch. New season is gonna be released soon after like 25 years so you might wanna start soon.
>>17356888
It's over-rated, trips.
I managed to get through 5 episodes and couldn't continue. Every character was uber annoying, the story was dumb, the dialogue was boring.
>>17356895
Not OP, but I totally sympathise
I saw a bunch of David Lynch movies because my roommate was into them & I thought they were trash desu.
Is there something wrong with me?
Greetings, and welcome to The /x/ Files, the weekly news digest for 4chan's Paranormal board. Every Sunday, we take a quick snapshot of the mysterious world around us and bring it, in an easily readable magazine format, to the board. I am The Editor, the anonymous creator of this idea and collector of the news that will be following below. In the interests of legitimacy, I will be using a secure tripcode to post the thread; once the posts are completed, I will take the tripcode off and return to my anonymity.

Paranormal News of the Week
Scientists Detect Gravitational Waves for the First Time
Researchers at the Advanced Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO), a pair of ground-based observatories in Hanford, Washington, and Livingston, Louisiana, have revealed that they have for the first time in history observed the warping of space-time, generated by the collision of two black holes located over one billion light years from Earth. First proposed by Albert Einstein as a consequence of his General Theory of Relativity back in 1916, gravitational...

Birds of Prey Found Deliberately Starting Fires
Black kites and brown falcons in Australia have reportedly been observed starting bush fires in an effort to smoke out small animals.
Normally when there is a bush fire small animals are forced out of hiding and fall victim to birds of prey and other predators. Small fires often attract so many birds that there is insufficient fleeing prey for all, so a bird that was being beaten to its lunch might benefit from starting a new fire with less competition.

Titanic II Reportedly Being Built
In a callback to Issue One, claims of a replica of the Titanic, the world’s most famous “unsinkable” ship - which struck an iceberg and sank on its maiden voyage in 1912 - is under construction. Australian mining magnate and politician Clive Palmer is at the helm of the ambitious project to faithfully recreate the luxury ship, which will be about 13 feet wider to meet current regulations. More importantly, it will carry enough lifeboats for every passenger and its hull will be welded, not riveted, just in case it comes across a...

One of 3 nearly identical photos I found in my phone in the camera roll. My flash is never on and my lock screen pattern is too complicated for it to be a pocket shot. Does anyone see anything? I know it's probably nothing but it's still a little bit unsettling. I'll post the other two in a minute.
