It's a George Norry sings episode.
This is now a live listen general thread for Coast To Coast Am, Midnight In The Desert, and The Other Side Of Midnight.
Ian Punnett is the guest on C2C right now.
The guest on MITD was supposed to be talking about "secrets of ancient America" but only wants to talk about hemp and keeps talking over Heather and she's too shitty to do anything about it.
Later tonight Hoagland will be entertaining open lines.
I thought you all stopped listening to this B.S. once you made Art Bell go all Clint Eastwood on us.
I feel like I'm the only person who doesn't hate Heather. She's not as good as Art, but she's still a decent enough host.
Oklahoma, 1995: Lights were seen in the skies across the state through late June and early July, culminating on July 11th, when people across the state claimed to have seen a large, metallic sphere in the sky. The 911 reporting system crashed several times throughout the night due to so many calls. Even the State Police were forced to upgrade their phone network to avoid future problems.
Some people even claim the UFOs abducted people in plain sight, or even disintegrated buildings to get to them. Most of them are still missing today, but authorities suggest they may have had accidents while fleeing the supposed 'alien invasion'. The FBI and USAF investigated the incident and concluded that people were actually seeing a rare southern version of Aurora Borealis, and the panic was simply mass hysteria.
Today, information on the incident is hard to come by. Even people who witnessed it are reluctant to speak openly about it. There were several calls to Coast to Coast AM made that night, but most recordings of the show omit these segments for some reason.
Let's compile all our information on this incident here for study, okay?

Ask that guy from the Oklahoma ayys thread who dealt with the aliens for 20 years and has polaroids
AI, Alien invasion or Demonic invasion.
What is likely to occur first and wipe out humanity?
AI most likely. Technology isn't quite there but look at how far we've advanced in less than a century of computing, and look at the rate of advancement in the last few and I don't think it's unrealistic to have an AI in the near future.
Alien probably won't show up any time soon, and if they do then who knows if they'd even invade, or what they'd be like at all?
Demons don't real, anon.
I'll go with Stephen Hawking who said AI will be our downfall. Making robots that can then eventually make/remodel themselves to be even smarter will lead to us basically being obsolete. Aliens would have to come from so far they would likely need to have mastered the use of wormholes which might be unlikely but is possible according to "A Brief History of Time" by Mr. Hawking. If they did however I'm sure we wouldn't be able to put up much if a fight against such an advanced race. Either way I think the end is sure to be entertaining!
>>17834779
What if the aliens arrive but AI robots are waiting?
So... A friend brought this to my attention. What happened to this guy? Image related, apparently he hasn't been heard of since it or something like that
He moved out of Baltimore later that year and got a job at a bus depot in Philly.
>>17834694
Who the fuck is this supposed to be?
>>17834725
Some dude living in the middle of no where that makes videos of his birds. In one of his videos someone brought to his attention a figure that looked like someone observing him from the window. He's creeped out, makes a few more videos freaking out and disappears
Welcome to Divination General!
Come here for readings and discussion of theory/practice.
>What's this Divination thing all about?
The practice of seeking knowledge of the future or the unknown by any of a variety of means.
>I'm new to this, help!
New querents should reply to the post of a reader who's currently doing readings. An "air query" can be made to no one in particular, but no one in particular may answer you!
New readers should post that they're offering readings and what information they require from a querent.
>Please read the STICKY for more:

Also: Thoth, a /div/ reader, made his own tarot and rune guide that he'd like to share to everyone:

Remember, each reader requires different information to read you. Look for their posts in the thread to determine what's needed.
Some readers will refuse to do certain readings -- respect that choice.

Are there any thelemites/occultists here who could disclose the meaning of TRINC. I would be eternally greatful. Many thanks
>>17833310
Read gargantua and pantagruel. Eat, drink, and be merry.
>>17833376
More or less, BUT...
In AC's The Urn he appears to approach the topic of Witch Bottles, but in a very very roundabout way.
Crowley mentions that TRINC is an oracle of The Chariot card, which depicts the lashing together of forces to create an elixir.
The issue of the Vulture, Two-in-One, conveyed; this is the chariot of
Power. TRINC: The last oracle!"
>From Magick without Tears:
"CHAPTER XXIII IMPROVISING A TEMPLE"
"And if the above remarks should embolden you to exclaim: "Perhaps a
little drink would do me no great harm" I shall feel that I have
deserved well of my country!
"For --- see Liber Aleph, after Rabelais --- the Word of the Last
Oracle is TRINC."
>From Confessions:
Section 81:
"The Urn is engraved with a word or symbol expressive of the nature of
the being whose ash is therein. The Magus is thus, of course, not a
person in any ordinary sense; he represents a certain nature or idea.
To put it otherwise, we may say, the Magus is a word. He is the Logos
of the Aeon which he brings to pass.<>"
The reference in Rabelais is to a planned visit by Pantagruel and
Panurge to the Oracle (Bacbuc) of the Holy Bottle -- which begins with
a discussion of the meaning of a bottle, whether full or empty, and
the likelyhood that one's wife will be a sot or not. They reach the
Oracle after sundry adventures, head off again and get back to the
Oracle again toward the end of the book. After a good snort from the
sacred flask, Panurge enlarges on the sacred word in a poem:
"Trinc, trinc; by Bacchus let us tope,
And tope again; for now I hope
To see some brawny, juicy rump,
And tickle't with my carnal stump.
E'er long, my friends, I shall be wedded,
Sure as my trap-stick has a red head;
And my sweet wife shall hold the combat,
Long as my baws can on her mum beat."

Hey /x/ anyone felt a bizarre phenomenon where things seem very familiar? Kind of like deja vu only I was not asleep when it first took place?
how do i summon that succubus in my bed right now?
we've talked about this multiple times. you ever have things happen like thinking of certain people then suddenly running into them or having them call you?
>>17832531
No but if I read an old book, movie, music, podcast, thread even I feel like i was just thinking that. Some times to a very alarming degree. I started to think stuff like supernatural, divine, maybe ESP.
I've downloaded a bunch of guided meditation audio files and they are all problematic to one degree or another.
-The guide talks too much
-The guide asks you questions, which you instinctually answer and break your concentration
-The guide has a harsh voice
-The guide tries to put you to sleep, which is the last thing you should do.
So, can anyone recommend a good audio file or iPhone app that gently coaxes you down without yapping endlessly in your ear and breaking your focus?
jon kabat zinn had some good ones iirc, anyway you're probably gonna have to lower your standards to some extent
I've been using Stop, Breathe and Think. Pretty good. I have noticed an occasional question, but the guides voice is very soft and gives you time to sit quietly.

Why do you say that about lowering my standards?

Hey /x/, what are your thoughts on remote viewing?
Do you have a specific way in mind?
>>17831344
I was looking into taking courses for remote viewing, the same type of training that military/CIA do for their people.
>>17831338
I think it's real but takes a lot of training and effort to be any good. There is enough evidence that it's real.
Avoid anything Ed Dames says as he's full of shit. His course might be okay, but I never really did watch/try the whole thing.
Look for " Remote Viewing The Gold Standard" or stuff by Paul Smith, Hal Puthoff or Russell Targ.
Also here is the official SRI manual

What if...
Petroleum [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petroleum ] is really the Blood of the planet?
The Gaia Hypotesis [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaia_hypothesis ] formulated by the chemist James Lovelock and co-developed by the microbiologist Lynn Margulis in the 1970s; states that the Earth is a self-regulating complex system involving the biosphere, the atmosphere, the hydrospheres and the pedosphere, tightly coupled as an evolving system. The hypothesis contends that this system as a whole, called Gaia, seeks a physical and chemical environment optimal for contemporary life.
This description is parallel with the way our own bodies combine different systems and organs to regulate a whole, and sustain our own life.
What if petroleum is the blood of the Earth?
It even looks really similar to blood.
>pic related
Why lie about it? Profit is an ovbious answer.
Why keep suppressing other energy sources? Why bleed out the planet?
I want to get this subject out there, because I've never seen it discussed on /x/.
Trolls and shills are welcome too.
