Quite a while ago, I had a 4chanx type userscript that, when I hid a thread, replaced the space with a thread from the next page.
Does such a thing still exist? So as to prevent empty pages (lots to hide, these days).

Huh, interesting. First it installed a new 4chan X, that I didn't have before. That didn't quite work (no - for hiding, for example). Then I removed the old, disabled 4chan X, but there wasn't a second one.
Looked around, there wasn't anything 4chan X anymore, so I restarted firefox and installed from your link again. Which installed the old 4chan X I had...

my primary monitor has stopped being detected on windows 10, my second monitor now acts as the primary and the other one just goes into sleep mode.
i have tried updating drivers, reverting drivers, even switching out other monitors, same issue

In other words, news that hasn't succumb to being so desperate for viewers, they resort to shock and fear articles that are 99.99999% likely to have zero effect on their viewers.
News sites can't just report when there's major news. They have to make money, and that means reporting on any shit that comes up.
I get my news from a custom rss feed, and that works pretty well for me.

I just recently bought an ASUS Q303 2 in 1 equipped with a 1TB HDD and 8 GB of RAM. Everything was going great until now, the laptop won't power up. Nothing. Even when it's plugged in, I get no start up or battery light.
Has anybody ever experienced this? I've Googled a few solutions, but none seem to work.
Help if you can, I've got important stuff on there!
at this point i'd see about any warranty it might be under / see about getting it repaired. if you literally can't get it to power on/respond in any way, there's not much we're gonna be able to help with. on the plus side even if the thing is completely busted you can probably still have whatever's on the hdd retrieved.

Take out the battery, disconnect the power cord, and hold down the power button for 5 seconds. Now put back the battery and plug it in. Do you see the battery light turn on? Does the battery light shut off immediately when you try to power it up?

I'm honestly not surprised that you're experiencing these issues. ASUS build quality is trash. The first thing you should do is try what >>156272 suggested. After that I'd try >>156268 and look into getting a refund. HP laptops are pretty good. Used Macbooks on ebay are pretty cheap right now. It wouldn't be hard to upgrade the storage on them. They also come with an application in OS X called bootcamp assistant that allows for a pretty pain free install of Windows if you have a disc or bootable USB and valid product key.
Okay, I know this isn't sci so I don't know how many math experts hang around these parts, but I need some help. Bare with me, I have diagnosis-able brain problems when it comes to math stuff, so I'm a bit stumped here.
I have this shitty game thing I'm working on and I need to figure out how to process an effect that scales with the stat it effects over time.
So lets say x is health or something, like 100 hp and the effect adds 25% of x to x each minute. I want to pass 3 minutes or something

Sounds like compounding interest.
x = P(1+(r/n))^nt
P = initial amount = 100
r = interest rate = .25 (25%)
t = total time = 1440 minutes
n = compounds every t = 1 since you want it every minute
