Jayzus that is frightening

I have a HD 7850 that reaches 63C tops.
I want to upgrade to either a GTX 970 or R9 390, but I wanna know if high-end AMD cards really are as hot as people say they are?

I own a MSI 390. The only times it got really hot was during summer when it was 100ºF or 37ºC outside. It would peak up to 80-90ºC on high load. I'm pretty sure these things were built to overcome high heat. It survived the summer and I'm having no overheating problems as of now. I don't know anything about the gtx 970 but you should go with that if you prefer cooler cards over performance.

R9 390 user here. Never gets above 70c under full load. I have the powercolor pcs+. Just don't get stock and you will be fine.

Hey guys i need help, since some days ago my Logitech G430 keep disconecting itself randomly, I have to unlplug and plug it again to make it work again, I don't know what to do, I don't think the warranty will work (one side is broken), What to do ?

This might sound a bit dumb, but have you tried using another USB port? How long have you had them, and would you say you've used them "roughly"? Also is it just random when they cut off or is when you use move the cord or some kind of adjustment?

Hey, a while back I was looking into buying a new gaming headset and I am a really big fan of Logitech, so I looked up a lot of their headphones. The G430s are notorious for breaking really easily and the expected lifetime is probably around 6 months. I hate to break it to you, but your biggest problem is probably that the headset itself isn't great. If you have the money or are looking for a replacement, the G35 headset is basically the same thing but much higher quality. I have had a set of G35s for about 2 years now and I haven't had a bit of trouble out of them. I hope this helps and I'm sorry that the most likely problems is just that the headset you bought is a low quality one, which is really unlike logitech.

My mum asked me to design her a logo for her newly opening beauty salon and i stupidly agreed
Basically all i want is a little bit of criticism and ideas
and if your really nice (I hope you are) you can even add to what I've already come up with

Can somebody please fix up the Logo

design-wise:
i like your approach with a simple clean recognisable design. i would almost say, there are too many details (eg the tiny lipstick) that are not immediately apparent on first glance (which would be optimum brand recognition).
the head is amazing - like, really really good!
the body... i don't know, the sholder are uneven and too broad/blocky, the breasts are too high and perky, the waist is horrendously small
the arms are kinds okay, left arm just hanging there in a straight line looks awkward, not sure the upper arms are the same width, the hand is kinda fat but the posture is okay i feel
the lipstick - i don't know. being the only thing that isn't a black silhouette is strange (as is the white line on the armpit). maybe you want to put focus on the lipstick, but you should consider the print implication. is white a second color? then i'm not sure white is the best you can do. is there no second color, only black foreground and background, i'm not sure a transparent lipstick will always look good (might end up with ugly colour, maybe on green background)

message-wise:
not sure a woman applying make-up to *herself* is the message you want for a beatuy salon.
what is your mom's business plan? what services is she going to offer? what is her target audience? you should put focus on something that she actually *does* and pander to her target audience while you're at it.
these days, there is a bit of a danger in using classic iconography like your design. unless your mother runs a retro salon for rich women who are into the 1950s - is this going to be a logo your average customer can identify herself with? i don't want to go full SJW on this design, but then again - those are potential customers and body image is a quickly turning into a hot topic (not only on the internet). i have no idea which women actually go into beauty salons and what their opinions are, i'm just advising caution for a logo your mom would use the next decades.

Concentrate to the face area, crop the picture. remake the lipstick more clearly without implicating into dildo territory. Maybe add a hair dryer silhouette blowing from the bottom right?

Wow thank you for your detailed advise
It will help me a lot
The lipstick isn't going to be transparent
I was just ruffing it in
Planed on that being a little color pop

Anyone know where I can go to learn more about computers, networking, etc.? I know how to operate a computer and follow the steps on more advanced stuff (have had to clear windows administrator passwords a few times for old computers so I followed a YouTube video) but I would like to learn so much more, like virtual machines, dual booting, overclocking (assuming I don't start a fire), and understanding more about networking and knowing if connections are secure, etc. Any websites you guys recommend for learning this stuff? My parents are both retired Native American researchers and don't know shit about computers and tech so I was never introduced to any of that stuff as a kid. Thanks /wsr/, pic unrelated

What don't you understand about VMs?
Or dual booting?
>>
>>25488
well I could follow the instructions and do it but I wouldn't actually understand WHAT I'm doing, I would just be following the recipe. I want to be able to understand what actually happens when you dual boot, overclock, run a vm, etc. rather than just know how to read instructions.

Go to university and study computer architecture.

Here to ask for listening material, need two things:
>blues rock
And/Or
>feel music
Which can be any music that makes you especially sad/emotional/etc

Names of songs, artists, albums anything goes.

Alright, but just because you posted based John 5.

Go with early Dr. Feelgood for the best blues rock. Just the albums where Wilko Johnson was involved though. Like John 5, Wilko has always been a Telecaster player.

Sorry, OP, but I don't really know of any good Blues Rock songs
On the contrary...
>Layla - Derek and the Dominoes
Really the only song I know that would fit into your tastes (which is entirely based on your request)
Hope I helped in some way

No, not yet, and probably not for a few years.
>>
No, because they can't separate the idea of having it in 3D from having it be a functional 3DS game.

...Even though almost everyone I know says that the 3D feature on the 3DS gives them headaches and most games are just fucking played with it off.

Can someone tell me what the hell is the problem with my network?

Recently, my parents decided to go all-out for a new router because the motorola one was getting old (although it worked just fine). Instead of consulting me, they just went ahead and bought whatever the Best Buy shill told them was best and got the OnHub.

Now for some reason the Wi Fi is completely shit and randomly boots you off, and the gimmicky app they force you to configure the router with gives me no real options to fiddle with. Any suggestions?

Pic related, the current network setup. The switch has been in the network since the motorola router.

plug your old router into the switch and continue as normal.

that was just an excuse to get a modemrouter that you cant get into and fiddle with the settings.

I once watched a documentary about the cosumerism and the media in the USA, and it was done in an odd human-traffic like musical style, and it was proper wierd but totally good. Anyway i can't remember the name of it for the life of me, only that based on the picture quality it was filmed around 1998-2002 and had a section in the middle about realdolls.

I can't find it anywhere does anyone know what its called? Steam game for whoever finds it

Hey y'all, massive tech noob here. I just got pic related earphones for free, and am wondering 2 things:

Why is one of the earbuds so much longer than the other?

What does the button in the middles of the earphones do? Never heard of earphones with buttons before.

Thanks y'all

>Why is one of the earbuds so much longer than the other?
You're supposed to put the longer cord behind your neck. It's actually nice because that way there's less weight pulling the buds out of your ears. And when you need to temporarily take them out, they just hang there around your neck.
>>
>>25304
buttons are usually volume, could be a mic though.
>>
if it's a single button, it probably functions as pause/play for phones. If it's got a little hole in the side, it probably doubles as a mic. If it's got multiple buttons, it's probably volume.
