OP,
The pape is a little harsh on the eyes, but that's just personal preference.
Clean up the side icons, move them into finder or onto the task bar and set it to hide unless moused over.
If you want to keep the icons on the desktop, style it up with rainmeter or things of that like and you'll have it going

Is there any option or program to limit/lock all program windows to within a certain position and resolution on the desktop? I have them all lined up nicely but if I drag one away accidentally there is no way to "snap" it back to exactly where I had before and it's driving my OCD mad.
Also, the gmail plugin for the rainmeter skin I'm using has not worked at all. Anyone figure out why?
