The highlight of BW are the Don battle tournaments (even if the final battles are Iris and Trip pandering), and the secondary rivals like Bianca, Burungly, Georgia and Stephen.

I think they just need to find a girl with a varied temper like May had where they're not a bitch 100% of the time but not all sweet and nice all the time either. The way the writers juggled May's personality quirks was perfect, she got angry when she had too but was also nice and sweet when she needed to be.
