How the fuck do fights work here? I went and challenged this gym, got the Pidgeotto there down to 1 hit, then his health bar stopped moving and he stopped attacking and I was just stuck there. Is there some sort of FINISH HIM shit, or did the servers just drop the fight?

On my way to the gym, there's an area with 3 Pokespots and a Pokemon gym. I straight went to one of spots with my phone out and some dude ask if I was playing. We had a short conversation and then went our separate ways. Pretty cool meeting new people playing the same game.
