A regular attack
A special attack
Battles consist of you facing your opponent and tapping to attack.
Tapping once makes you do a regular attack
Holding your finger ontop of your pokemon preforms your special
Each special has 1-5 bars. The more bars it has the smaller they are and the easier they are to charge, but the less damage the move does.
During the battle you can swipe left or right to dodge your opponent's attacks.
This is the extent of my limited knowledge. Supposedly different special moves also can "effect" pokemon in certain ways IE poison etc but I am not 100% sure on that.

Also, I got pretty lucky with the gym and PokéStops. There's 4 on one block right outside my house.
I managed to play for an hour or so before I started a night shift tonight. Walked around a bit before a storm came.
After I was done working, I ended up walking through a nice chunk of my town picking up as many PokeStops along the way and seeing which ones give the most items for each visit. Managed to hit Lv5 along the way and take 2 Gyms on the walk home.
I haven't invested any dust or candies into any of my Mons yet, since it's only Day 1 and I still have all day tomorrow to play.
I hope there's at least SOMEONE in my town that will be a different Team so I can have some friendly Pokemans competition. And I also hope all you anons have fun with Pokemon Go!
