But not for the same reasons as pic related. Dragonite was a letdown after the snakelike majestic progression of the rest of his line. Salamence, on the other hand, is a great end to its line and makes perfect sense, I just happen to prefer Shelgon.

Thats just a meme, really. Its bulkier, sure, but due to Knock Off, Dusclops becomes deadweight after losing eviolite. And dont you try to tell me "hurr, just switch out", there are no Pokemon in PU that appreciate taking a Knock Off. Also, Dusclops is guaranteed Set-up-material for anything with substitute, because it has no offensive presence whatsoever. I'm not trying to argue that Dusknoir is a good Pokemon, but it is way better than Dusclops. Just check the Smogon PU Viability rankings for reference

Not that I dislike its evolution, but aegislash took such a random design turn it almost feels like it was made by a different artist.
While honedge and doublade look like weapons that are posessed by ghost(s), aegislash looks like some kind of amorphous ghost that shaped itself into something vaguely weapon-like.
At least it has bitchin' defensive capabilities with eviolite.

This is why despite Blazakin's dex-entries all boasting about its kicks, it's hands look so much more martially feasible; on a conceptual level, it "kicks" using it's hands, but they thought having it be famous for it's punches would be too far from the base concept.

This, to me Aegislash has ruined it, or maybe has just too many details, I dislike its sword hilt and that ugly eye, I dislike its pose and sword's edge's shape, the shield design isn't that amazing either.
I love Doublade more because of how it has now two eyes and can basically attack the opponent by always keeping it in check, has better animations and poses, the design is less confusing than Aegislash too.
Oh and Magneton, always liked it drone / ufo / camera like theme and its shiny form, it's a magnet and I don't see how the fact Magnemite becoming an agglomerate group is supposed to be a bad evolution example, its evo line plays around physics.
However I cannot explain the transformations between Honedge evo stages, probably some sort of link between the two spirits trapped inside Honedge?
