Thats just a meme, really. Its bulkier, sure, but due to Knock Off, Dusclops becomes deadweight after losing eviolite. And dont you try to tell me "hurr, just switch out", there are no Pokemon in PU that appreciate taking a Knock Off. Also, Dusclops is guaranteed Set-up-material for anything with substitute, because it has no offensive presence whatsoever. I'm not trying to argue that Dusknoir is a good Pokemon, but it is way better than Dusclops. Just check the Smogon PU Viability rankings for reference
To get back on topic, yes, Duskull is a good design

Oh, you're right. Last time I really played competitively was gen V, so I forgot about the Knock Off buffs. If I remember correctly, Dusknoir was NU and Dusclops RU in gen V, so that should explain why I thought that.

I've always thought these were remnants of the skull teeth.
I mean, it's obviously that Dusclops keeps the skull under the bandage since the shape of the teeth can be noticed.
These rectangular shapes can also be seen coming out of Dusknoir's neck, so it has always seemed to me like Dusknoir's skull got "inverted" and deformed in a macabrous way leaving the teeth literally twisted up.
Headcanon tier I know, but still.
