Started breeding combees just to get a female, the 6th egg was the first female I got and it was shiny.
Just got done with my hunt for shiny Nidoran. I got the female I hoped for, then as I finished up the box of remaining eggs I hatched a shiny male so that was nice, even if the male didnt have the HA.
More memorable than that was when I was hatching a shiny Diglett for a friend and got 2 in the first 30 eggs

I'm currently doing Friend Safari shiny hunts, randomized. I don't have any specific targets in mind, just catching them when they pop up either to keep or to save for trades after Sun and Moon come out. I do have plans to breed a shiny starter sometime after I finish White 2 or when I get tired of FS shiny hunts.
Most memorable shiny story: The shiny female Goomy I got from breeding. I was breeding for a regular one Sap Sipper and ended up with a shiny with the Hydration ability. What makes this the most memorable for me was the fact that I wasn't using any foreign Pokemon(but I do have the Shiny Charm). After that happened, I went bought an Ability Capsule.

Breed the evolved pokemon so that you have every stage available for trade on the GTS.

I'm not sure how much you already know or how far you are into your breeding but the basics are that Hidden Power Fire is odd IVs in HP/Def/SpDef and even IVs in Atk/SpA/Speed, so ideally you'd want 31/30/31/30/31/30
Basically this means the only IVs you want to be perfect are HP, Defense, and Special Defense, while the others need to be even numbers (i.e. not 31): ideally you'd want 30, but it can be 28, 26, etc. if you don't care about perfection, and attack doesn't really matter in this case so it can be low (but still even!)
What I did, starting at the very beginning, was breed a Magnemite with perfect HP/Def/SpDef, used that one to breed more perfect HP/Def/SpDef ones, then checked the exact values of the other unknown IVs until I found some that had good, even values
So my Magnemite parents went down the line like this, trying to get ODD/EVEN/ODD/EVEN/ODD/EVEN:

With the last one having HP fire

I can never find something I actually feel like shinyhunting. I might end up soft resetting for a shiny raikou. I only have ever encountered 2 shiny pokemon. I found a shiny machop in my emulated heartgold. Unfortunately it's stuck on my computer with no way out. And I bred a shiny onix in pokemon white and transferred it to oras. As far as shinys go steelix is probably the only one I was really excited for, I'm breeding for a shiny weedle now but I don't know if I even want to keep bothering with it.

For three, I can transfer them but not in the conventional way.I give myself some liberties and gen them on my Emerald save, where I pick a random shiny frame with random stats with RNG Reporter and treat is as a hatched egg. Did this with this Lapras, Natu, Grimer and a couple others.
I use then a tool on my flashcard to put the save on the real cartridge and transfer it all the way from there.

I'll step up and admit it's not the most legitimate thing to do, but it's not like I'll use them in competitive or anything since I suck major ass at it. I just like the thrill of looking for rare things, which is part of the reason I'm not the biggest fan of Masuda-ing, the shiny charm (which I do have, but for completion's sake, not because I particularly enjoy it) or gen6 odds in general.
Hell, that Mew there is the Faraway event one which I used cheats to get the island, and after like an hour worth of runaways I got a lucky shiny frame, and that went just fine through Bank even if it's not japanese.
I've gotten some weird looks already for purposely gimping my odds but in my opinion that's what makes it exciting.
Funny story, that Altaria there I found on Sky Pillar with good old RE's, no RNG manipulation whatsoever or any of that shit. No one ever believes me, but I nearly plastered my trousers the day I found the rarest shiny Pokémon in that area by complete chance.

I plan to SR for Popplio on november. Odds are already lowered by default but, you know, it's not like I'm gonna get a Popplio in any older game.
It's not super impressive but I also have 3 full odds starters, that being Charmander in LG, Piplup in Pearl and pic in Crystal. I never really bothered with Unova or Hoenn starters, not in the old games and not on the new ones for the latter case.
Right now I'm nearing 3 months of just Articuno and a little of Lugia in that same Crystal save. I reckon I have enough in my hands to take me a good couple months more at least.

My conditions for shiny legend satisfaction are either procced synchronize (correct nature) or decent IVs. My autism will go off if I know it has suboptimal IVs, so I don't check if I don't have to. You can plug these stats into a calculator if you want to know.
