ITT: Post your Fakemon ideas, get advice on how to improve them and help out other anons with theirs.
Last thread (>>26445359) was great so let's keep the creative juices flowing.

I'm finally starting to find the right design for the evolution of my pure Water salamander. Big thanks to the anon who gave me some pointers and ideas, you were just what I needed. Of course if anyone else has suggestions I'd love to hear them.

I made this a while ago, it's supposed to be a coconut crab but I kinda fucked the anatomy of the evolution so it doesn't really look like one.

Both forms definitely need some work and I have to swap the blue for another color so it doesn't end up looking part water. I'm going to try to make the prevo look a little less cutesy and generic too, I hope I can do something interesting with it.

Oh god those sunglasses, my sides.
In any case I love them, very simple but well thought out designs. I like the little detail of how the evolution's claws work. I agree with swapping the blue for something else if they're not water type, maybe a shade of orange or tan or something. Also, I think the little straw sticking out is a bit odd, I'd get rid of it.
So what type are they then, Bug/Grass?

I think I like the version with the round jaw better. It's pretty good overall, but I think it would be better if the arms and legs followed the "flow" of the body a little more.

The prevo is adorable. Are they based on a species of salamander in particular?

Do you mean that the arms and legs are too bulky? I'm not sure what you mean exactly. It's supposed to be a speedy physical attacker so I made them a bit bulky, but they shouldn't get in the way of it being agile, so perhaps they still need some tweaking?
I didn't really pick a certain species as reference, though I did get the idea of drawing a salamander fakemon after I found a few when cleaning my garden (alpine newts to be exact).
>>
>>26482026
>>26482209
I dunno. The blue really fits the fresh and tropic feel even if it isn't water.

Perhaps he could learn a few water moves even if it's not his type? Crab Hammer?
>>
>>26482026
Maybe make the insides white like the inside of a coconut?
>>
>>26482209
Yeah, they're supposed to be bug/grass, so orange/tan could be a great fit for them! I agree that the straw is a bit too much, I might stick it on the prevo instead if I can make it work.

>>26482398
I'd definitely give them some water move regardless of their color scheme I could also consider giving them milk drink

>>26482345
That's a nice concept but that final evo makes me super uncomfortable
>>
OP needs to tell us what type the crab is so we can color it.
>>
>>26482026
I wouldn't over-design the pre-evo. I think it's really goood the way it is. Hard to tell what you could do to make it "better". Cutesy isn't bad in a pre-evo.

That said. Lose the straw.

'sup Raptor. When I drew these I imagined it as an early-game water type kinda like Buizel, so I always thought of it as a two-stage line.
But for some reason I have a lot of difficulty making three-stage lines and your salamander on the right is super cute and could potentially fit as a middle stage so I can finally add another three-stage line to my dex. Fuck, I dunno. I guess I could try it. Thanks a lot bro.

Actually, does anyone else have trouble making a three-stage line? Whenever I come up with an idea for a fakemon I draw the first stage and then try to find a logical evolution, but nearly every time it's only one evolution. Middle stages are really hard for some reason.

114 KB, 600x600
Might as well throw this pic into the ring again, will color it at a later point. Much like the Bagon line, the base stage is a pinwheel lizard aspiring to fly, and the kite evolution fulfills that dream.

>>26481809
I personally liked its overall smoother body and head from the earlier thread >>26446682 , largely because Feraligatr have plenty of sharp angles and is the number one species you want to avoid mimicking. It'd be good to hear some of the flavor behind this design since right now it's rather simply and only appears to be a Pokemon-ified Salamander, which does the trick but may not leave a lasting impression.

>>26481891
Good lineart, but much like OP's Salamander, it's a general looking humanoid with no theme as far as I can tell, so some extra features or another concept would make it stand out more.

>>26482026
I like the looks of it so it certainly has the charisma, but the more I study, the more the design can be improved. First stage is perfect imo as it allows for plenty of freedom as to where the coconut theme should go, but the second stage feels rather forced, particularly the palm leaves that aren't really a necessity and are just there to make the legs more interesting. Sadly, I have no suggestions on how to experiment with it, I first thought that the yeti crab's hairy arms could work with the hairy coconuts, but it seems difficult to implement.

>>26482213
Looks cool, but it doesn't seem to carry on Rowlet's theme of a well dressed gentleman.

>>26482345
I like the first and last stage, middle stage needs to be explained to me though. Also a shame that there are no note/musical references on the last stage, unless that's purely a coincidence in the first stage.

Middle stages are definitely hard since I can usually flesh out my concept well with just one or two stages, so if I want a three stager I'm either 1) making a starter or 2) have a clear line of thought where each stage has a clear and defined visual perk. There are SO many designers out there that make mindless middle stages and thus fall victim to the "it just gets bigger" issue, so I'm overall very careful with making a three stager nowadays.

Seems like the chunkiness is a bit of an issue right now. I'll see if I can remove some of the angles and add more curves to make it a bit smoother. And yeah, my only real thought was "I want a salamander fakemon!" without a real concept or design philosophy, so I only have the actual design to work with. It was a very spontaneous decision to draw it.

In other news I drew these.
Be honest with me, guys.

If spikes were a currency, then your economy would have collapsed.

Remove some from the mid evo's head, and remove the topmost spikes on the last stage and you'll be okay, althoguh I'd recommend removing more and put them in a more interesting pattern.

>>26483699
I love these designs, but I feel like with the Bagon-y lore you're obligated to make it Grass/Flying, when it looks like it could just be a really cool Grass/Dragon. Does it need to have a dream of flight? It looks pretty organic to just have it grow into a flying treetop kite dragon

I NEED OPINIONS
OPINIONS OF SALAMANDERS
Most important: that potential middle stage I might or might not add. Does it make sense in this evolution line? It shouldn't be forced in just because, it has to be a logical progression between the two.
>>
>>26484296
It does not need the dream no, so I could always skip that detail. It can totally work as a Grass/Dragon with minimal tinkering with the design, so I might go with that (although I'll miss STAB Acrobatics for the Unburden ability I plan to give it). But we have enough Dragon/Flying already, and it's also not a difficult typing to make.

>>26484230
I get that Unown has lowered the bar a lot as to what can constitute its own species, but what you've essentially done here is taking a symbol, adding some rock features, and then putting on an eye that goes against the symmetry of its body. This is a prime example of a feature that shouldn't be a Pokemon of its own, but would make for a great feature on a creature with an egyptian theme or concept. On its own, this is just a floating symbol.

>>26484429
It's getting there, slowly but surely. Can't recall if this is a two or three stage creature, but if the latter, I suggest shortening it to two, since I can't recall any drastic changes between its base and the (iirc) second stage.

>>26485343
I like it, your drawing style is definitely good enough to draw fakemons since you know what level of simplicity that's required to make it Pokemon-esque, so don't let that hold you back. The first stage could definitely be on all fours since going from all four to two is a big change and can justify the middle stage, right now it just grows bigger and gets a hook. And on that note, is there some way to add the hook to its forearms, like some sort of knuckle? Adding handheld weapons and items to mons generally needs a good reason imo or be something they can easily find, but I won't hold it against you if you keep the hook weapon.
>>
>>26490106
I'd say to go for the middle stage unless you were looking for a Gyarados or Milotic type thing where it's weak in the first stage but then completely big and badass. The middle stage looks like a natural sort of progression between the two
>>
>>26490106
I'd ditch the first stage and just use the other two
>>
>>26488336
>>26488346
>>26488355
With so many colors thrown into this, I have a hard time seeing what it is, but I assume it's a rusty bucket meant to ..... puncture the feet of swimmers? I dunno man, you may need to use a different creature as a bade, the classic "round sphere with eyes and spike legs" don't cut it for me.

>>26488414
It's cute, but even though there's a lack of fuzzy bees in the official canon, I'm somewhat disappointed to only see it rocking one face instead of three, or in some other way acknowledging the other two faces through other features.

>>26490106
I HAVE OPINIONS ABOUT SALAMANDERS
Like I said in the previous post, a quadrupal creature going to bipedal is enough to justify a second stage, particularly if the difference in size and maturity is large between the base and final stage, which it is in this case. My own preference would be to make the limbs less stuff and more fluid, like its main body, but irl salamanders also appear to have limbs bolted on, so I suppose it works. I'm very biased towards making dual types, but since you have no clear feature or theming towards another type, keeping it pure water wouldn't be bad, although you have some loose foundation for a dark and dragon typing.

>>26485343
I realised after writing the last post that one way to fixing the handheld item availability is to make its tail the exact same weapon, except attached to the tail, meaning that it can just grow a new one if its current weapon would break or become lost.

Thanks guys. I've really grown to like the middle stage, so I'm definitely using it. The first is also staying though, I can't get rid of that cute little goober. As for the type I'll keep them pure Water for now, but I'll keep the option for Dragon or Dark open, depending on how the rest of my dex turns out typing-wise.

In other news, color! I think the first two are fine, but something about that color scheme on the final evolution seems a bit odd to me. Anyone else know what I'm talking about? Or is it just me.

233 KB, 681x675
Added colors, and went with the Dragon/Grass typing since the flying type was a requirement. Should it start out as a pure Grass type and then become dual, or have both of them the same type?

>>26490999
The last stage can definitely afford being darker, so try letting the dark colors dominate /dark gray, dark brown) and save the lighter colors for minor features. I'd also suggest making Dragon its primary type and then add Ground typing to the middle and final stage, since the base doesn't seems more like a dragon than pure ground type. The middle evo does just fine having its limbs sticking out since its body is so spherical, but I'm not sure if the same can be said about the final stage, so I'd recommend either making its limbs the same color as its body, or giving it some sort of shoulders/thighs to create some transition to its lighter limbs.

>>26491016
I now fully understand the concept and I still find it to be a subpar design, it just tries to be so many things at once and ends up looking very bizarre. Also, how does the Water typing come into play?

Good pointers. Made some changes, including shoulder/thigh-pad things to make the limbs look a bit better.

And damn, those mons look rad. At first I thought the evolution had a bit too much going on, too many unnecessary lines on its body, but adding color makes everything work super well. The only thing I'm thinking is whether or not the theme is made clear enough. For the first stage, maybe make the pinwheel a little bit bigger, I think its face blocks a bit too much of it. Maybe try making the evolution's tail a bit longer too, so it is more reminiscent to the kite's string. But honestly, all in all they're really cool. Cute backgrounds too.

One immediate problem I see with this is that you completely ignored what the base stage stood for and just wanted to make your own bird gladiator. Another problem is that I don't really see many gladiator features, I'd have expected perhaps some head plumage to mimic battle helmets of sorts, but right now, this is just a scruff turkey. We already have Braviary, but no woodpecker. Come on.

These are some really quick and poorly-drawn sketches of two fakemon I've had for quite a while. They both evolve via friendship. I think the theme is obvious.

Sorry about the quality, I'm at the hospital and I really wanted to participate. Classog is over at my DA so if you've seen it don't worry, I didn't plagiarize.

Not yet. I had the idea for one of them to be named "Snowni" (snow + Oni) but it doesn't convey the theme.

Wolveen -> Lv Up knowing Iron Claw -> Slasherine

Wolveen - The Fighter apprentice Pokémon.
Type: Fighting
Height: 0.7 m
Weight: 24 kg
Ability: Guts
Description: While they have mature and strong jaws and teeth, Wolveens have a kind of "collar" that prevents them from using those efficiently. Therefore, to defend themselves and survive, They learns to fight and use their claws. Often, he learns how to fight observing Machops, Panchams and other Pokémon fighters. Despite these limitations, Wolveens are extremely competitive Pokémon.

Slasherine - The Pokémon Wolverine fighter.
Type: Fighting / Steel
Height: 1.6 m
Weight: 45 kg
Ability: Tough Claws
Description: A Wolveen evolves into Slasherine when he learns completely how to fight and defend themselves. Since it did not use its teeth as a weapon in its earlier stage, Slasherine does not have teeth good enough for attacking, although there's no more interfering collar. However, it has very sharp retractile steel claws coming out of his wrists. A wild Slasherine is often spiteful and Violent, having suffered much during his previous stage. Even though proud, competitive and violent in combat a Slasherine that receives affection and good training can be an extremely loyal and powerful Pokémon companion. A funny fact is that wild Slasherines, while discussing, show the middle claw.

Please R8, my buds.

Buckit (Bucket + Pit)
Bucket Pokémon

Type: Water type
Ability: Damp/Storm Drain
- Buckit are very slow and tend to wash ashore often because they can't swim far out enough into the ocean. When startled Buckit will dig themselves into the sand away from harm. Children like to find and play with Buckit on beaches, they are even used to build sandcastles.

Moves learnt by levelling up:
- Bubble
- Mud Slap
- Water Sport
- Mud Sport
- Whirlpool
- Rain Dance
- Withdraw
- Muddy Water
- Slam

Fortrough (Fortress + Trough)
Reservoir Pokémon

Type: Water type / Steel type
Ability: Damp/Storm Drain
- These Pokémon are incredibly territorial, preferring to live alone on damp beaches. If another Pokémon or trainer gets too close to Fortrough it can unleash a powerful flood from it's fort-like body where it churns and stores its water supply.

Moves learnt by levelling up:
- Soak
- Brine
- Curse
- Crunch
- Heavy Slam
- Iron Defense
- Clamp
- Hydro Pump

I suggested that change, and out of the two, I like this version better, since its head develops further and it gains a second arm, thus not needing any more bones to emphasize the teapot design. I'd still vouch for a goblet design, but this has now reahced the point where the designer makes the calls.

>>26504356
As a design they look good enough, but the Father Frost reference is largely lost for me since you've emphasized its ghost typing quite a bit and thus make you believe it's some sort of demon. Jack Frost is also known as Old Man Winter, and in my territory as King Bure, so dropping the demon horns for a crown and placing the black diamonds on its beard elsewhere are two suggestions I'd make. Not sure if you should be gunning for a fairy typing instead of ghost, but I guess it fits?

>>26504974
It could already be seen as Poison/Steel in its current iteration, so all this mega does is to give something knight features that didn't need to be a knight in the first place.

>>26504996
Behold my mom's swamp alligator. I'd love to see an alligator that stays on all four for once, but this one seems to be the actual creature with extra features added on for good measure, no particular concept or theme behind it. If there is one, you might wanna share that info too.

>>26506644
Doing designs after other original characters is generally a no no. Old lore and legends are ok, subtle references are okay, but this is an obvious copy and thus wouldn't fly.

>>26509029
>>26509034
The face is very similar to Gengar, so some slight modification to set itself apart would be good. Otherwise, this seems to be close to the popular approach to chili designs, where you take the fruit, add a face, and then a flame on top. Your final stage seems to have the most potential as there's an actual idea behind it, so I'd say skip the Cherrim homage and just make it two separate stages.
>>
>>26509038
>>26509280
>>26510684
These seem to be largely similar to existing species, with Relicanth, Mamoswine, and Sceptile repecticely. They can still be salvaged by choosing another typing or incorporate another feature into them so that they're not only based on the animal, I'd also avoid adding various symbols or stripes for the sake of it since they get messy fast and it's unrelated to their typing.

>>26509090
This one seems to have the most potential out of what you've posted, just see if you can make it more simple, since this seems to be some sort of Final Fantasy creature rather than a Pokemon species.

>>26509913
I could use an explanation behind this one. Druddigon is the closest we've got to a Gargoyle so far, so seeing your concept centered around a caring mother instead of some rugged statue doesn't make much sense to me.

>>26510237
Totally give it posion typing.

>>26510446
Excellent lineart and art style, but the design itself is up there along Klingklang and friends. Snails, turtles, alligators, and other sturdy water creatures could be used to give these designs some natural touch, but this is great for a first attempt.

That's not an explanation, that's just the context. If the design is just the offspring of some random ideas mixed together, then I wouldn't share it here, especially if you only refer to what other people thought up rather than defending the design yourself.

>>26513354
Google reverse image search tells me that this is some kind of asian Santa Claus suit, so while it fits, it's certainly not that relatable (maybe for Japan, but cerainly not the rest of the world). The more people can recognise what's in the design, the easier it is for them to like it.

>>26513910
Good lineart, I'm interested to see what it evolves into (although I'd remove that penis needle if I were you).

>>26513936
I really like the idea of having duck feet as oars in a boat, but there are so many things that's just haphazardly added in this design. Why the bandana? Why the weapon that's clearly not a feather? Why the star symbol and the red mark on its cheek? Simplify, this isn't Yo-kai watch. Also, avoid sharing the shiny/female versions unless they're very creative, it just fills up the image limit faster.

>>26513989
Cool base animal to work from, but you've gone too far when it comes to adding psychic-esque symbols to it, even if you're basing it on magic circles. I'd suggest going with crop circles instead since those symbols are elss complex and thus won't make your design seem as forced.

It's meant to be a more up to date spinosaurs. Some speculate that the fin was more like a hump, carrying fat like a camel or bison. I guess I could go back and rework the spine. As for the smaller one I based it on spinosaurus' smaller relatives like baryonyx and irritator hence why it has a smaller spine

Wanted a Magikarp/Gyarados equivalent so the old rod can actually catch something, so I made these. Tried to give the evolution a little bit of an assassin theme. I thought maybe the scars on the evolution were a bit too realistic at first, so I made another one where they're a bit more like patterns and less actual bloody scars.
>>
>>26517527
This is great! Very Gen 5. The scar pattern on the bottom one looks bette, but keep the pale underbelly and eye scar.

I'm really digging these. I kinda like the scars on the top form, but maybe remove two or three of them, they make the design a bit cluttered. Definitely keep the blue underbelly and eye scar though.

>>26504996
Even if you wanna go with the more accurate hump, I still think you should exaggerate it a bit. Maybe make it into a pyramid or something, since a lot of Spinosaurus fossils are found in Egypt?

>>26501271
Really liking these guys. Reminds me of a draco volans fake I made a long time ago. The pinwheel frill really sells it.

>>26492092
I think maybe you should bring a little red back into the design of the final form. Maybe give a little more detail to the first form's spikes too, so they're more than just ice cream cones glued onto him. The other two forms have some metal af looking horns though.

Here's an update on my bone-loving dog/wolf line. I'm having trouble deciding on what kind of bones the final form should be wearing, but at least I feel like I've got a good enough design for the first form.
>>
>>26518463
Thanks! Funny you think it's Gen 5-like, that's oddly specific.

>>26519386
I agree that without the splash of red, the final evolution looks a bit drab. The first form should stay simple though imo, it looks a bit cartoony and cutesy which I like for a small first form. As for the barracuda I'll see what I can do. I'm worried the top scars look a bit too real and are perhaps a bit too grim for pokemon, but maybe if there's less of them it'll be alright.

Good to see your dogs again. As before the skull shoulderpads are really cool (as long as it's a really stylized skull and not too realistic), but I'm also really liking the bones in 4, though those aren't as intimidating or visually striking as the skulls. 3 might work too, though it looks a bit odd when one end of the bone is twice as big.

The middle stage is completely unnecessary, plus the entire line suffers from "It just gets bigger" syndrome. What were the inspirations behind them?
>>
>>26524439
All three are supposed to be based on butterfly tail goldfish. The first stage specifically had a small inspiration from Zelda fairies. For the second stage, I thought it would be neat if its tail resembled a lunar moth's wings and started to look a bit more frilly/fancy because its final stage was based on a masquerade costume, complete with a butterfly mask. Its tail even turns into a 'dress' of sorts, with pearls embedded into its sides (based on pearlscale goldfish). I wanted the line to be a water/fairy starter from the beginning, and felt like jumping from a cute Zelda fairy goldie to the masquerade look was a bit much, hence the second design's look where I try to give it a new tail and the mask starts to appear
>>
>>26525330
Jumping from one concept to another upon evolution is not much at all, it's the design that matters. As it is, the first stage is cute and perfect, and the last one is pretty good, but the middle stage is literally just the first stage with some extra frills. Maybe try to change up their bodies upon evolution, every stage being the same sphere looks very bland. Maybe the final stage can have a longer body with long flowing ribbon-like fins or something like a feather boa, like a glorious graceful masquerade femme fatale. Masquerades always had this air of mystery and femme fatales, so try to exploit that as much as possible. You shouldn't try to keep them looking as much as the real animal as possible if that doesn't mesh with the concept. Get weird!
>>
>>26525330
>>26526537
Like what that anon said, try and shift their body shapes. Maybe even incorporate a mermaid-type body into the final form? The masquerade femme fatale is a viable angle too.

>>
>>26528643
Seems a bit too similar to regular Toxicroak. The best megas are the ones with a clear progression or idea behind them, like Mega Kangaskhan where the child grows up to fight alongside its mother, or Mega Medicham which adds the turban and multiple arms to represent Shiva. Look for a similar progression for Toxicroak. Maybe make him a cloaked assassin or something, but do something interesting aside from "mohawk and bigger claws".

I admittedly have a habit of trying to add more realism (if you can call it that) to my designs. I'm not sure how I can change up the body shape without losing the goldfish look. If I elongated the bodies to an egg shape, that could work maybe. I don't want to deviate from pic related too much. I did think about a mermaid look, but I ended up losing the goldfish look when I thought I could mix a betta fish in due to their pretty fins.

Maybe I could base the first stage more off pic related, then elongate it to a more ryukin shape (but not its patterns since I think Seaking's based off ryukin)? I do like the femme fatale idea so I'll have to work that in somehow.
>>
>>26527202
You could at describe what makes the designs shitter, so the creator can change them.
>>
>>26516109
I think you should improve your spriting skills before going any further. Not to be a dick, but those are pretty sub-par, and the designs are above that. I think you could really go somewhere if you just practice a little more, because those designs are very likable.

on a side not, your starters a little underwhelming as well. perhaps rethink them. that white thing and the top right one are fantastic though

Hey, thanks for taking requests!

I've had a pair of fakemon in mind since I was a little kid, but never had the art skills to pull them off. I'd love if you could give it a shot.

Farenheat and Elvesius.

Fire/Fairy and Ice/Fairy, respectively.

Farenheat is based on a will'o'wisp. It has a ball of flame for a head, with a small body underneath it based on glowing-hot charcoal (so hot it's almost blue). Flames wisp off of its neck like a little cape / wings.

Elvesius looks like a snow-rabbit - see pic - except the ears go out like an elf, and are made of thin sheets of ice. It also has a little cap of ice it wears, shaped much like an elf's.

The two have very similar proportions and reflect each other a bit. For example, Farenheat has intangible head and hard body, while Elvesius has soft body and hard head (icecap), and the cape going down reflects the ears going up. Etc.

Hopefully that's a good description. Feel free to take liberties.

No name or anything really. Type would be Dark/Grass or Grass/Ground. Something like:
This gigantic pokemon is too heavy to fly, but its body has become accustomed to living purely on the ground. Its tall, powerful legs help it move swiftly and nimbly through its forest home, snatching up any nearby prey using its sharp talons.
Just because it's a bird, doesn't mean it has to be a flying type

Jesus christ nightmare kakapo. They're so cute, why would turn it into a nightmare creature?

I'm now going through all my old designs and redesigning all the ones with potential. These are my pseudos. It used to be just Dragon/Flying, but thought Dragon/Electric would be cooler so I gave the evolution thunderclouds instead of regular clouds.
>>
>>26522109
A proud horse that has a more compact and muscular body than most. Grass/Ground, and I'd like it to have a large connection with the Amaryllis flower and Greek legend. I needed a legendary for my game anyway, so if you could sketch this out, it'd be a huge help!

My current project. The first stage is based on the cymbal monkey toys who applauds performances, while pic related is the actual performer. Greatest challenge is essentially trying to stay away from the Simisage/sear/pour lines, but since they have the bodybuild I need it's kind of hard not to think about them. Its typing is Electric/Fairy since my current theory is that the latter type not only includes myth and legends, but also idols and general showbusiness themes as well (See: Sylveon and Mr Mime).

>>26517527
Seems pretty general for a fish design. If you absolutely want the scars, then go with the below version since the top one seems to have them placed randomly (real scars would be, but this is a conscious design, so yeah). If you want to give it an assassin feel, see if you can look up references for cool knives and try to incorporate those as fins. I get the feeling you've done that already, but it could be more emphasized.

>>26519386
I'd say 5 and 6 are your best choices. You'll always struggle with not making it too similar to Houndoom, but the other versions felt too silly while the two I mentioned have two strong features that aren't featured in Houndoom's regular or mega form.

>>26520740
Looks better, although the crown can have taller spikes and still look like a crown, so if you're missing the horns then that's one thing to consider.

>>26538264
The last stage feels somewhat odd compared to its two earlier stages since the clouds goes from being a major feature to just body hide. I get that Altaria makes things difficult for this design, but as it stands, this is just a flying dragon with long whiskers, the clouds are just something on the side.

Holy shit I love it. Only real pointer is that right now his jacket looks too much like an actual jacket rather than fur that looks like a jacket. I think it's the white collar, it looks too straight and clean I think? Make it look more like fur. The fairy type also seems a bit forced. Other than that, fucking great.

Thanks for the pointers on the barracuda and dragons. I did make its fin a sharp spike to slightly resemble a dagger, but I guess I could make it a bit more obvious.
As for the dragons, it was thinking that the first two stages can't fly yet, but compromise by using their very light and cloudy bodies to leap in the air and float gently down. Then the final evolution grows huge wings, not needing the clouds to float anymore, instead having storm clouds to shoot lightning. The reduced amount of clouds also hints at the loss of Flying type, replaced with Electric. I understand that it might be a sudden change though, maybe I can add some more clouds (but not too much) to find a compromise?

i really like the concept, but its 2nd evo's silhouette kind of reminds me too much of established spidermons, to where it kind of suggested a parallel line to galvantula to me at first. does the second evo curl up into its coconut? i don't think it needs to be totally revamped, but i think more distinctly crustacean anatomy/proportions could help differentiate it from the spiders, even tho crabs are like wet pinchy arachnids. idk hope i helped :v
