There are more options in Expanded, but if you plan on playing Standard, you can try Gengar EX, Marowak BKT and its BREAK, or a Dragonite EX deck which sort of functions similarly.
These cards are normally paired with Trevenant XY, Robo Substitute, Wobbuffet PHF, or Yveltal BKT, since they all have a decent effect while in the active slot.

You can use the code plasmastorm 4 times (as many times as you want actually, but there isn't a point to using it more than 4) to get an expanded theme deck and 4 of the centerpiece of the deck, Exploud. Pick a single Pokemon as a primary attacker and build around that. Haxorus and Garchomp have absolutely no synergy together on top of being two Stage 2 lines. Pick one and stick to it.
The FAQ explicitly mentions 3-4 Sycamore as staple. This has NOTHING to do with Night March. Drawing 7 cards is absolutely ridiculous and literally cannot be ignored. You're not "losing" anything, throw this mentality away immediately. If you're that anal about losing unnecessary cards, run Super Rod or Puzzle of Time.
You also need Ultra Balls and VS Seeker, no clue why they're not there.
Cheren and Prof Letter are not good cards, drop them.
Once you pick a card to build your deck around, better advice can be given.

The lists from official events like states, regionals, etc are posted on Pokemon's website. You'll find that Yveltal changed a lot throughout states in order to compete with Night March.

Mega Alakazam is awesome though. You attach the spirit link, then use devolution spray, then attach again and blow away whatever it is. A vast majority of cards in Standard cost exactly 1 RS or lower. Very few actually make it to 2. If it's not an EX, you can generally get between 4 and 50 copies of it for a single pack.

This deck reliably churns out Garchomps from turn 2, 3 at the latest, running a full Maxie's engine would hurt that reliability in return for turn 1 Garchomps, if you mean why no Maxie's/Gallade engine, see above in terms of reliability. The list is quite tight, when you are only running 3 Korrina and 3 Sycamore in a tuned fighting deck you know that you have finished most of your tech. Only possible slots to cut would be Miltank, and that would be trading reliability for occasional raw power.

The list is from a time before Trev became too opressive, the only issue the deck really had then was Vileplume/Vespiqueen and it was an almost autolose even with hex. If you want Hex for vs Toad and Trev (since Vileplume is autoloss anyway most of the time) maybe cut 1 switch and either 1 compressor or 1 sycamore for 2 Hex Maniac.

Made him up a binder full of Ex's that kids would want (aka: mostly trash) and sell most of them above reasonable prices ($8 lowest ahich is an Emolga Ex) and wouldn't you believe it, they're selling faster than I can keep up. Little kids parents are a gold mine for this game. There's a neat legend box bug but I'm not sure if it's viable to build a deck around since the set up is really luck based.

Your deck already dumps all over Dark decks. Your deck will improve greatly if you focus on setting up one particular type of attacker instead of a mishmash of Fairy type attackers.
New player building a budget deck that's still semi-competitive. Not sure what i should add to this deck in order to boost consistency. I have troubles with sometimes just not hitting a supporter or running out of attackers and i know shaymin is good for consistency but i don't have one yet, not sure what else to use.
