Common cases are things like test of courage, the King's game, drawing lots to form pairs, school trip activites (where you decide groups) etc.
Sometimes it ends positively, like for example a couple that couldn't be together at all during a trip, but managed to have some time together at the end even though it wasn't planified like that (which actually happens in the dance episode).
The only difference with the dance episode is that Serena was paired with everyone else instead of just one guy. Which funnily, by itself, invalid your geekship unless you do also ship Serena with every other guys that was there.
