There is a variant called "mutant rule" that allows you to evolve any basic pokémon into a phase 1, and any phase 1 into a phase 2 - as long as its type stays the same.
We use the usual evolution rules, though. You'll have to draft the actual chain if you want to play them. There are more cards on the lower ends in the cube so it works out quite well if you really want something.

Xerosic is situational. Most of the time, simply KOing the Pokémon with the tool/energy is a better solution. You need to find yourself in a situation where you discard their spirit link and then slap a Head Ringer immediately on their EX, or where you KO their active and discard the energy of their Pokémon that was ready for the follow-up. It's amazing when you fuck up their plans like this, but most of the time, you'd rather play another supporter.

As someone who has played with xerosic quite a bit, I'd think you be surprised at how often you can use it early in games to discard special energy, even when you're not attacking. For me it's a 1 of in any deck simply because it's one of the most versatile supporters in the game. I have no idea why you wouldn't run it. It's not as if it's really as you say; you don't always want to play another supporter. One of the key benchmarks that players must pass in order to get good at this game is understanding that it's not always time to draw cards. You can, very often, accomplish more by doing less.
Xerosic is good because it's an Enhanced Hammer that you can recur with Vs Seeker, allowing you to tear apart decks reliant on DCE or DDE (even against Vileplume or Toad). The fact that you can sometimes slap off a spirit link or float stone is just icing.

Don't get me wrong, it's very good, but it's not a 1-of in every deck for me. It competes with other tech supporters like AZ, PCL, Hex Maniac, Teammates, Giovanni, etc for its spot. Usually, if my deck plays Megas, I add one just in case I need to discard Head Ringers off my EXs. But in decks like Night March where you aim to take a KO every turn, you can't afford to miss cards by playing Xerosic.

Not really. Even if they make weaker EXs for a while, we're still stuck with Yveltal and Toad until 2016 at earliest, and then we're stuck with Rayquaza and Manectric until 2017 at earliest, and after that Mewtwo will outclass everything since him still.
The worrying thing is how each type relies on certain staples now. Fighting and Fire will have nothing once FlF anf FuF rotate, Psychic will suck once Dimension Valley rotates, Dragon is fucked without DD and Hydreigon, Steel gets ruined without Bronzong, etc. So far nothing has looked to replace them. Like look at the Garchomp in the new set, once Korrina rotates he'll be totally useless, and other things like Meganium that can take advantage of FoGP are just shit to use.

Those little paper slips sit really tight in the sleeve. I don't mind the occasional microscratches. I will check on the cards after a few games, though. But I think it's the best solution for now. Since it's for Draft, I wouldn't like an external reference for the card texts. It needs to be on the card itself.

how would you go about building a haxorus deck?
I'd love to put out an itemlock to prevent people from playing escape rope or vs seekering lysandres to keep the boost up but item locks are either forced active or stage 2 which most likely won't work with a stage2 main attacker.

Best gift was getting an Unseen Forces booster box for Christmas one time. I don't think we ever played the game in the way that it was meant to. It was still fun collecting them however.
I just ordered a Breakthrough Booster box the other day and it should come possibly next week. I'll probably have to pick a trainer box for the playing gear however.

Since it's a gen 1 Cube it's going to be the most powerful card: Professor Oak. Although she's probably going to paint over the whole picture because extending the art would be a bit bleak.

I myself run a solid Tyranitar EX deck, and I don't really need Sableye or Shaymin. Get some VS Seeker, remove Pokeball, remove roller skates, remove 3x spirit link, add hard charms over lucky helmet. I would just run bats over Forretress; forretress is good for Gallade, not tyranitar. Why? You can evolve to Golbat, put 2 damage on M Manectric before Rough Seas, then OHKO immediately for 230 damage. Remove all Sableye, and add Hoopa EX, then add Yveltal EX or Lugia EX or both, as well as basic Yveltal. Also, you don't need 4x Shaymin; 2 will suffice. Run one spirit link, get some mega turbos, and VS seeker. Xerosic is a staple in all decks, and with Hoopa EX you won't need 4x Ultra Ball.

aegislash-ex, xerosic, hammers, jirachi promo, TF Grunts. Deny the energies, watch as they rue throwing away that one early.
A weaker tactic is to use a deck with Ninetales and lock your own stadium in place to deny the pumkaboos.
At worst they are forced to use their hex maniac over and over (if they have one) to stop your Aegislash/ninetales meaning less draw to get all the stuff they need.
Valid strategy #3 is things that hit the bench too and pick off their weak ass joltiks. Bats, Noivern, even Xerneas-Ex will do the trick.
Anything with robo-subs in works well (gengar/wobbs/subs), or any fighting deck with focus sash in.
Nightmarch is kinda shit if you are prepared for it. Don't expect much satisfaction though, prissy bitches just concede as soon as they see an Aegislash.

Guy is friend with the store owner, and gets away with alot of stuff, even taking packs from the back room.
Last time I was there, he was close to being ban, when he was caught telling lies to some kid, how to play the game, so he can win.

I used to come alot, with a friend, and gf, to help kids with decks. I would sometimes give cards to kids, for the deck their trying to build, but once in a while you get one of those adult players asking for free cards.
