ORAS wasn't something to be expected or given since Pokemon Remakes in general aren't something they tell us we're guaranteed to receive. Third installments such as Crystal/Emerald/Platinum/B2W2 were pretty much the Pokemon release norm. They know it will be done and so do we in some way or another. Once their ready they reveal it just like most third installment announcements, which is nothing like this case in particular. Reason why it's grasping straws expecting any pokemon mainline game info from this.

The reason I feel it's that is really more so because of that teaser from back in the Hoopa movie. The "big news" part seems like they'd have that movie be like a part of the continuation of the anime because they have the core already present, they teased a second one's appearance, they teased Perfect Zygarde and from what I understand, the last episode this year for the anime revolves around the core returning to Terminus Cave.
