Are there any guides for these low level dungeon yet?
I gotta clear them but they keep slapping my ass in a bad way.
>>24776095
I wrote ones for the ones in Rescue Team and Sky, they're in the OP. Sadly I haven't gotten into many level 5 dungeons in SMD, but I've had success with Drifblim
>>24776095
Which ones specifically? It's difficult to make specific guides due to the random nature of the games but proper item usage is very important. Don't be afraid to use wands or orbs for instance.
>>24776095
>Are there any guides for these low level dungeon yet?
Not really. The best you can do is glance at Serebii's listed dungeons and strategize around typing disadvantages.
Wands and alliance attacks also help you out of sticky situations.
>>24776097
>>24776098
Whoops, just for Super. Running into the end of things to do with 650 pokes, so I'd figure I'd do everything before Arceus.
Items I can work with, but are there any recommended pokemon to work with yet? That one fucking area with 1 team member reduced to lv. 5 with no items and 'mons that hit 80+ by floor 10+ is driving me nuts.
>>24776104

Unburden Minimize=+4 evasion from 1 use. With Elixer luck, you can be carried solely off that
Is ninetales' mission a monster house?
Tepig just fucking left me so how can I get Fletchinder to replace him?
I did a mission for Cherrim but nothing.

1. use Water Looplet, your item is uncatchable since it pierces.
2. throw some random item they can't use (orbs or whatever), let them catch it, then throw your ammo.

I'll try it out anon, it may take a little while though so bear with me.

What effects of sandstorm does weather looplet prevent?
>>24776369
Mainly the inability to restore HP naturally under sandstorm, as well as the spD boost. I'd assume weather related abilities are only preventing if the Pokemon having the ability actually holds it.

>>24776217
Will the game force me to find Xatu?
>>24776495
No, you can prolong that mission for as long as you like. That's also probably preferred so you can stock up on items and prepare yourself stat- and level-wise.
>>24776495
No. You can do all the post-game plot missions at your leisure.
>>24776297
not requester but is this still ongoing?
>>24776514
yeah, still ongoing. 5th floor.
I'm having do much fun with this game, it's making me want to replay the older ones when I finish it. I'm just afraid that's it's going to be hard to go back to the older mechanics and gameplay.
>>24776095
I think there already is a decent guide.

How can I get Talonflame?
>>24776231
>>24776297
Hey, sorry it took so long. Here you go and good luck.
>>24776598
Talonflame usually hangs around the Water continent in either Serene Village or Lively Town. Get lucky and connect with the appropriate Pokemon, most likely other other route birds.
How much of a bitch is the Path of the Fallen Leaves compared to Heart Lake? 42 floors sounds like hell in Super but it's either that or Giant Stone Meadow and I don't have much of a team prepared for a place like that yet
>>24776607
Thank you very much!
What would you like for a drawing? Style is like pic related.
jesus fucking christ when will i get galvantula or joltik i've spent 97 hours in this game why's it so fucking hard to find 2 pokemon
>>24776634
golly that's really cute
>>24776634
aaaah, I love your style. Really anything involving Totodile and/or Fennekin, they're my main team and art of them is scarce. Thank you in advanced!
>>24776455
This post is relevant to my interests
Trash Forest has Training Switches.
What do the other 2 wondermail dungeons have?
>>24776742
Maze Meadow is level 5
>>24776455
For Sandshrew/Sandslash you have to take a letter to Sandslash for Sandshrew. You'll connect with both
Bisharp is a reward for reaching one of the early ranks. I think it's Bronze or Normal. For Pawniard I think you have to connect with Bagon then do a mission for it or it might be an 'And...' connection.
Scyther is a gift when you reach Diamond rank. Or it was a travel mon, I can't remember for sure but I think it was a rank gift.
I don't know about Shiftry or Toxicroak. I don't think I have either of them yet
>>24776628
I just recently finished a 40 floor dungeon and it was definitely more difficult than heart lake. You're going to need a lot of apples to finish this dungeon since every floor is so expansive.
>>24776770
I'll swap the normal apples for big and take one or two extra. Maybe swap an oran berry or two for a reviver seed and swap the normal elixer for a second max. This is going to be a long trek but I'll give it a shot. Thanks.
Is there a way to know is a AoE attack hurts your team?
>talk to Kecleon
>connected
>get motivated team
>think it'll be worse than my starters like the past four or so teams
>one of the 'mons is Mewtwo
>mfw
>>24776812
The attack should say something like it hits the entire room except the user. I think it tells if it doesn't hit allies too
Has anyone beaten this? This dungeon has given me the most trouble out of everything else in the game.
Have been trying to use Unburden Drifblim but still get wrecked around floor 15. Is there some strategy/Pokemon that's more ideal for this sort of endeavor?
>>24776766
Much appreciation anon! I've tried googlin' some of that stuff but it's not helpful so far
How the hell am I supposed to get connected to cofag?
>>24776887
Finish the post-game story, then find at least one treasure before talking to him.
>>24776887
He connects to you when he feels like it in the post-game.
It's rumored that if you a shop's services long enough, the owner will likely join sooner, but I've barely used Meowth and he joined as soon as I talked to him for the second time, so I call BS on that.
>>24776914
There's some arbitrary, unwritten requirements apparently. Like >>24776913 said.
>>24776913
>>24776914
I see...I'll try both methods out after I finish this dungeon, thanks!
I made a shitty reaction pic
>>24776913
>>24776914
I finished the story (it doesn't seem there's much after getting your partner back) and I have the water looplet, so it looks like I have to fuck around for a bit.
>>24776957
Yeah, there's some weird requirements for the shopkeepers that aren't really told up front. You need at least one treasure for Cofagrigus. Hawlucha, Klefki, and Meowth seem to join at random. I know Kecleon demands an extremely high Species count before joining, but I don't know the exact amount needed.
>>24776856
I'm hoping it's just not a huge amount of luck. Been trying at it for the past few hours. Is there even a reward at the end of this?

Is there a more useless move in PMD?
>>24776973
It keeps those fucking Delphox from spamming Two-Edged Wands on your ass.
It's situational, but there are worse moves.
>Heatmor is one level higher than me
>is already on break after a mission
The fuck? I thought Pokemon would take less breaks if you're stronger.
>>24776972Valley of Strong Winds
What is it about Super that makes it harder than the original PMD? I haven't played since that one but the dungeons in Super at first disappointed me because of their average length but as I played more in just a simple 10-15 floor can be so brutal it makes me not want to touch the 20+ ones with a ten foot pole.
>>24776986
Break system is ass. You could be 40+ levels above someone and they'll be on indefinite break just because fuck you. This isn't just some shitty troll either, I'm 68 and my level 28 scizor stays on break for 2+ times after one mission.
>>24777011
I think the enemies are just stronger. I don't think you ever had to worry about so many Pokemon that could just casually OHKO or 2HKO you, while taking three or four of your attacks to kill.
>>24777011
floors are bigger, you get hungry faster, AIs are smarter and enemies are stronger
>>24777011
>No grinding during the main story.
>Weaknesses, resistances, and STAB are all downplayed.
>You'll barely reach your mid 20s by the final boss.
>More cheap shit in the story dungeons (Razor Wind Heliolisk, Earthquake Vibrava, etc)
>IQ being replaced by RNG Emera system
>Greater emphasis on items
Difficult isn't the word to describe this game. "Unforgiving" is a better word. If you know what you're doing, you'll breeze through it. But if you expect it to play just like the previous entries you're going to be in for a rude awakening by the time you reach Poliwrath River or battle Salamence.
>>24777011
The hunger meter depletes faster, can't use the A attack so need to depend on moves with decent PP and damage. Enemies take more hits and do more damage. Partner AI isn't the best. speed = accuracy so if you're not a fast mon you're fucked until vitamins. Accuracy is piss poor even with good enough speed. More traps (in my experience). There are more, just can't think of them now.
Is Sand Dune of Spirits the best place to grind Froakie?
Should I evolve to Frogaider before tackling it?
>>24777044
Don't evolve unless you really want to, you don't get any stat boosts so it's not worth it unless you like the other forms more or want a more diverse typing/movepool.
hi guys
slowly trying to make progress
experimenting with AI taking their movement turns at the same time that you do
player is the green square
>>24777052
Doesn't look like the AI is approaching the player. I'll assume you haven't implemented this yet?
Looks interesting though.
In case it wasn't already common knowledge, the purple Sparkling Floors that are sometimes spawned when a Mega kills something with its basic attack aren't like the normal Sparkling Floors. Instead of a Gold Bar or other rare item, it'll contain common loot like emeras and Poké.
>>24777052
and just confirmed it works perfectly with multiple AI
>>24777073
there's no real AI yet
they're just moving randomly, all I have is a single randomly generated room and am testing the movement

>>24777032
Yeah this is probably why.

>>24777103Someone should edit this with Nuzleaf.
post yfw the break system gets nerfed to fuckall or removed entirely for mons equal to or lower than your current level

anyone want the source to tinker with what I have? it's Game Maker: Studio [you can download it for free, but I own the Professional edition so there's no watermarks for me]
>>24777118
Shoulda been in the game to begin with, but OK. What the shit do Pokemon have to do besides go on adventures anyway?
>>24777118
It should just be removed for the epilogue. It makes sense during the main game though
I wonder if you can get Pure Seeds and Golden Seeds from Recycle.

>>24776856
Do I need to do more dungeons like these in order to get closer to connecting with Arceus? I don't want to play anal rape like EoS did.
Does the one team member staying at the stairs work anymore for Kecleon stealing? Or did the change it? I haven't attempted it yet.
>>24777178
>Put your leader (The one on the far left on the bottom screen's health meters) ON the stairs, go to the shop with another mon, and then steal. Let the thief get KO'd, and don't revive them. Bring enough reviver seeds to tank some hits from Kecleon, since three or four spawn around the stairs. As long as you have enough Reviver Seeds to last one turn, you'll make it out. You cannot switch leaders while stealing unless the current leader is KO'd.
>>24777169
Yeah I guess I'll give it a go
>>24777125
Fixed it already
Unless other Pokemon with a triple speed buff would appear to move 1 tile every time you move a tile, then I might be fucked
>>24777184
You're doing Arceus' work, anon.
>>24777184
So is this gonna be an actual PMD game or is it just a base for other people to make PMD games with?
>>24777198
Wh...!? I was thinking that in my head mere seconds ago! Are you some sorta wizzerd?
>>24777184
I wish I could do cool stuff like this
>>24777210
Both if I keep up my motivation
The latter if I stop the moment the framework is finished

>>24777169
>>24777182
Enjoy your Reviver Seed
>>24777219
Either way it'd be great. Keep it up. The lack of PMD fangames should be illegal.
>>24777171
No, this one is completely optional. However if you want the map to read 100% you will have to attempt it.
>>24777252Thank you so much.
>>24777184
Got movement buffs working on non-player Pokemon
>>24777223
Thanks baka desu senpai
Take this as thanks, even if it's not much.
>>24777268
Side note, with how things are right now, there might be visual bugs where the Pokemon will *appear* to phase through walls (because the sprite isn't following the actual path of movement, it just slides into place, which works fine when enemy AI are moving only 1 tile a turn), not sure it matters that much since they move so fast
>>24777268
>>24777276
Also not sure how I'm going to work with speed DEbuffs and both the player and AI having speed buffs
>>24776666
Here it is!
Thank you again!
What is this all going to be used for? What is this project?
>>24777317

>>24777268
>>24777276
>>24777283
probably gonna have to rework everything to work on a system of every Pokemon having a 'clock' and only being able to move when it's synced up with, or faster than, the player's 'clock'
So the human player and mew were canonically banging, right?
>>24777308
that is so precious, thank you so much!
>>24776634
>>24777308

>>24777342where do you think Mewtwo came from
>>24777354
>tfwhis daddy shows up as a first stage starter and kicks his ass
>>24777338
Clocks start at 0, and then the speed buff/debuff amount is added. If the clock is higher than 0, enemy takes movements until the clock reaches 0. If the clock is less than 0, 1 is added on every player movement until it is 0, and then the enemy can move a tile.
Once the clock is 0, the process is reset the next time the player moves.
Speed buff/debuff wearing off is done right at the end of a turn.
This sound about right to everyone? I think this would work just like the actual games.
Okay, can we be honest for a second?
This story is fun but really weak, especially compared to Explorers or PKMD1. Dont get me wtong, I love me some Persona Hearts. I can get behind DARKNESS as plot elements if done right but this was kind of stupid. Even the story bullshit in other pkmd games were kept to a minimum.
Also the story finale dungeon is 10 floor long? What does this game think I am? Casual? That's practically a light jog.
>Short narrativr
>Weak story
>Bad pacing
>Cheesable gameplay gimmics

Yet it gets 8/10 better than gates(?)
Someone tell me the epilogue is better than this.

>Weak story

>Bad pacing

>Cheesable gameplay gimmicks
RNG is not cheesable, IQ was much worse
>Short dungeons
with much more ferocious opponents and faster belly depletion rate, post game dungeons are hell on hell
>No nicknaming pokemon
no one nicknames each other in PMD series, are you trying to be a special snowflake?
>Unrewarding recruitment system
it's more random and feels "real" in PMD world, recruiting pokemons with set levels are much more boring
epilogue is much much better and brutal than the main story
>>24777377
>can recruit them all
>higher difficulty than past games
>story is OK
>didn't remove vitamin cheesing
>partner AI is ok
>don't have to do 50+ dungeons multiply times just for a chance at getting one mon
>can cheese any other PMD
>dungeon layouts are large as fuck. 30 floor dungeons feel like 50+ unless your luck is through the roof
>can talk to a majority of the mons outside of dungeons
>all mons have portraits
>all legendary fights have a small intro cutscene
The epilogue story is short as fuck clocking in at__3dungeons but the fun in it comes in recruiting them all.
>>24777377
Epilogue is pretty short, only three dungeons with any sort of narrative. But still a bunch of legendaries to recruit and shit, that's always fun
But I miss shit like Spinda's quests in Rescue Team
>>24777397
10 Floors for a climactic final battle is not long as fuck
Also, half the game was you in school. Then suddenly you get dark matter trusted on you and the story quickly concludes itself.
That's like if Harry Potter took half the book to have anything magical happen. That's not good pacing.
That being said the first part of the game was fun. But they kind of rushed through the "real" story.
Also I guess I haven't gone through the epilogue so my view on the game may change.
Anyone out there, what's the epilogue like?
>>24777417
I miss spinda being a bar tender
it was so cute whenever spinda made a drink
Oh shit! It just occurred to me that the Satiated Looplet+Ghost type Pokemom=infinite wall phasing. Been farming rainbow TM's left and right from poor Kecleon by phasing straight to the stairs and/or waiting for his crew to leave the room then just waltz off with the merchandise.
You could easily exploit this to get to Arceus too, since you wouldn't have to worry about hunger, enemies, or PP management, just phase your happy ass to the stairs.
>>24777424
Brutal anal rape that kind of feels like a slap in the face for what kind of Hell you have to go through.
>>24777430
Oh fuck. I was planning on just going with my starters + Mewtwo or Scizor.
Fuck that noise I'm just going to roid up Gengar and blast through it.a-after I get the Satiated Looplet
>>24777404
PKMD 1 and 2 had hours of story and plenty of text that was good quality.
I wasn't expecting walls of text, but something a little more... Substantial compares to last games.
You have a point though, I guess I shouldn't be looking to a kids game for that. I guess I just was hoping they would keep track record.
>>24777424
I agree with you that the story was a bit lopsided in it's telling and more focus on the dark matter portion would help greatly.
>haven't completed the epilogue yet
fucking do it holy shit it is so short
>>24777431
>Brutal anal rape
WANDS AND ORBS. It isn't even hard use the fucking items you've been saving up for the entirety of the game. Stayaway wands + warp wands + petrify wands and you're good.
>>24777448
Even with Wands and Orbs it's still about 30 floors of you slogging your ass off alone for no reason. The fact that you're apparently 10 levels under for the entire game is also a nice middle finger.
>>24777448
Fucking hell I was joking when using the Harry Potter story analogy but with the gameplay I might as well be a fucking wizard
>fighting Ylvetal
>"oh ezpz i have like 6 allied mons to fight this fucker and roided up chesnaught"
>mfw oblivion wing
>>24777437
Same here, I just happened to of Coke upon it while Guiding Wand farming for it while in my rainbow TM dungeon. I guess in turn this would be a great way to make money too by selling the unwanted items you steal.
>>24777424
>>24777448
the thing is.. no one fucking knows what dark matter is, the only thing they know is pokemons turning into rocks and your partner's dream is to become an expedition member and make tons of friends, that's it. not even the legendaries expect dark matter to ruin their life
think of Harry Potter, the little shit knows nothing besides trying to survive in a magic school full of dicks and monsters then suddenly this nigger named voldemort starts fucking shit up
Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon is not "rushed", it's story is full of hidden secrets waiting to slap your face until you beg for more
>>24777103
>>24777115
Tried my best
Am I playing this game wrong? It seems like this game simply doesn't allow you to level up before forcing you into continuing in the story, and now I keep fainting in these fucking dungeons because I can't just go out and explore dungeons.
In the older games, I was able to explore the WHOLE dungeon, but now I have to run to the stairs.
Also hate that the 'plain' hitting move is stuck at doing 5 hp damage.
>>24777519
>In the older games, I was able to explore the WHOLE dungeon, but now I have to run to the stairs
LOL what?
>>24777525
Because all the pokemon are too strong, I have to just get to the stairs of the floor as soon as I can to just get through the dungeon. In the older games, I was able to explore the entire floor of the dungeon (like, completing the map on the bottom screen) but now, when I find the stairs, I just go to the next floor immediately.
>>24777501
Yes but that doesn't mean the story has to be 3/4ths school/exploration society 1/4th Dark Matter shenanigans. If the story was a bit longer and Dark matter was expanded upon the story would benefit greatly. It's just like playing Animal Crossing where you build your village or whatever and then all of a sudden MEGA RESETTI shows up to wreck your shit or something. While that analogy is shit it conveys enough of what I'm trying to say: the game throws the idea of dark matter out at nearly the ending to the game. If the game was 35~ chapters or so long as compared to the 23? 22? chapters I think it would do much better.
>>24777519
If you haven't joined the exploration society you're doing it fine. plain attack being capped is aids, we know.
>>24777525
it's more of you're nearly forced to run straight to the stairs instead of looking for items/shops.
>LOL
fuck back off to /b/ or reddit
>>24777534
maybe that's why you're underleveled?
>>24777519
okay before i ask further questions, what's your starter and partner?
>>24777535
>fuck back off to /b/ or reddit
LOL
>>24777501
Yeah but can we get SOME exposition for dark matter? Some flashbacks? A reason it aligns with stars? Why it decided to just fucking disappear?
Having a big bad that even characters in the game shrug about what it is... That's just sloppy writing in my opinion.
I doesn't feel like a story of hidden secrets to me. It feels like a story with a poorly developed enemy.
>>24777535
Honestly, I haven't been paying attention to the story because it sucks. I probably have joined the exploration society (that's ampherous' shit club right?) I didn't even know if that was an option. Basically, I'm at the point where you're about to fight Krookadile, but my main pokemon are level 25.
>>24777538
I'd just die if I didn't do that. I was hoping this game would just let me go to dungeons as I please instead of forcing me into ones that my pokemon aren't strong enough to face.
>>24777539
Charmander and Pikachu.
>>24777366
i've no idea how many times you can speed up yourself so i'm assuming a max of quadruple movement speed.
get a clock/tick that counts up.
one tick counts as one turn, or movement, i say.
if there's speed buff, allow movement whenever tick count is divisible by 12/[speed buff].
if there's speed debuff, allow movement whenever tick count is divisible by 12*[speed debuff+1], so 1 speed debuff = takes 2 normal turn to move.
if tick count isn't divisible by anyone's "internal clock" then nothing happens.
things happen in the dungeon only on tick counts that is a multiple of 12 (or something like that, depending on how many turns it takes for the effect to kick in)
may need to figure out how doing anything that is not moving affect this, since IIRC speed buffs only allow you to move faster, not act multiple times. i might be wrong though, can't remember for sure.
>>24777551
You're actually a bit farther than me in level I think. I was 28 when I finished the game and you'll be above that more than likely when you beat the final boss. Ampharos's club is the society yeah. If you used Motivated mons you played the game right. I didn't and got my shit pushed in a bit.
>>24777535
>>24777542
the next pokemon game will be action rpg with you fighting alongside Mew and ancient pokemons a la Final Fantasy Type 0
>>24777556
Sounds needlessly complicated compared to the solution I posted, what does this offer over the other one?
>>24777558
Yes, I used motivated ones. Am I just supposed to be an item whore? I didn't use items that much in the older ones, but it seems like I'm gonna be forced to use an item on every pokemon I face, and carry 10 reviver seeds with me in every dungeon.
Also, why the fuck do I have access to pokemon like salamence at level 50 so soon? This game is fucking dumb.
>have found multiple Awakening emera in piss easy dungeons
>non so far in any hard dungeon
>>24777568
Or maybe you just dont know how to play
>dont pay attention to the story
>dont use items
>cries that game is challenging which it it really is but it also throws you a lot of options to make it easier which you dont use and just complain
>even Poketubers who never played PMD games before do a decent job with playing SMD without too many issues
Git gud
>>24777565
from your solution it kinda sounds like once you have a speed buff you do several things in succession. i was wondering how would you proceed if there's like.. two enemies, one with triple speed and one with double speed. does the one with triple speed move three times then the one with double speed move twice or is it interspersed?
>>24777564
[Spoiler]see but I'd eat that shit up[/spoiler]
>>24777588
one moves, then the other enemy moves, it shouldn't affect the game all that much at all
the real point is how speed buffs relate between the player and AI, which is where that matters, which is the point of the clock in the first place
>>24777568
You can be an item whore if you need to. I personally didn't. Just bring tons of seeds

>>24777564
if you're saying that because MUH STORY, I just wanted some explanation on the stupid final boss that is mentioned for only a small portion of the game. If it was Yveltal by himself that would be fine since he turned fuckers to stone in the Diance movie but this thing just showed up and has no place in a pokemon game. Supposedly the antagonist thing in gates is the same way but I wouldn't know since I avoided it.
>>24777591
Fuck
>>24777584
Good point, I'm just used to the older ones. I haven't played one since Explorers of Sky. They made a lot of shitty design choices in this one.
And it's dumb, because the story is written for children, but then the game is more challenging than ever.
What requirements do I have to meet to have Klefki and Hawlucha join?
Absol made a reference to knowing a human. Has the game been datamined?
>>24777616
It's a reference to the first game anon.
>>24777616
how do those two sentences even relate
>>24777621
I just want a text dump. Uskng miiverse for past references is painstaking. Armaldo mentions how igglybuff is the guild master too. I skipped Gates to Infinity.
>Encountered heatran
>runs from me
>>24777592
this is what i was thinking. i liked it since it gives some sort of linearity and also preserves priority of speed. you can pick a speed as the player's and AI's and kinda treat it as fast-forward to the player's next turn. i guess it kinda sounds complicated though.
what the fuck is the point of making a team if you cant use them all the time? my nigga mienshaos been gone for 4 fucking days
>>24777670
my idea also gives it linearity, your idea is very similar to mine except it works in multiples of 12 for some reason
>>24777685

I wonder who's going to get the 7s.
>>24777685

What items should i sell?
So when the fuck do awakening emeras start showing up? I finished the epilogue a long time ago and I have never found one.

I wish the game had a little more info about what a dungeon contains. So many seem to have unique features/Pokemon but I can never remember them all.
I also ran into "THE LEGENDARY HEATRAN" who prompt lane ran the fuck off after I blasted him once and I never caught him. What was that all about?

I'll have to grind some more before I keep advancing the plot.
>>24778033
Alright, 4 more floors to go, good luck.
>>24778064
Thanks for the max elixir. Well, the game gives you very little opportunity to grind up your starters. You're better off grinding for resources on Pelipper Island, over there you can use all your mons without any limit. Essential resources like wands, orbs, reviver seeds.
>>24778083
Many thanks. Now bear with me, as I'm probably to fail again...
What is the best way to roid mc and partner? Using donuts or protein/etc?
>>24778127
Donuts are unreliable and give lower stat boosts for their cost. Regular stat up items like protein are the way to go.
>>24777903

>>24778447

>>24778657

Is there any reason to do the Meowth dungeons?
>>24778667
Bragging rights only reason I think.
I don't even think the 99F tileset changes once.
I had Red Rescue Team on DS, and then the one where 4th gen mons were introduced, and they were really easy and pretty boring.
Is the new Super Mystery Dungeon any harder? And does it still have that dumb quiz at the beginning of the game to pick what Pokemon you play as? I like those.

>>24778750
It's actually sort of easy to brute force your way through dungeons without actually using items that the dungeons provided you.
Now, if you're talking about dying to stuff like Primal Dialga and Earth Powers, then yeah I guess that's justified.
Would you guys rather use warp looplet or satiated looplet?

is there a looplet that makes mega evolution indefinite through the dungeon?
I think I've got the clock system working
Now everyone moves relative to each other's speed buff/debuff!
0 means there is no speed buff or debuff, 2 means speed is boosted to triple speed, blah blah

I swear to god, that first post-game dungeon was made specifically to spite you if you chose a Fire type. Everything spammed rock attacks and everything else had Flash Fire.
>>24779998
Das why you gotta bring wands, avoid battle, and smuggle Hoopa with you in case of dangerous situations.
I've heard that you can exchange items for gold bars, but how do you do that?
>>24779834
Because Chespin is the cutest and best of all the starters
>>24780010
Go to your Deposit Box, select an item that you have over 100 copies of, and it'll give you an option to exchange it.
Yeah, I know, they don't tell you shit about this until you find out yourself.

>>24780412
Various random seeds, including both regular and tiny variants of Reviver Seeds.
Not sure if it gives things like Joy Seeds though. I know I've gotten a few Pure Seeds out of it.
>>24780418
Ah, thanks.
This vacation shit has gone too far. I get that they want you to try different pokes but it ends up being such a hassle never being able to use the mons I want.
>>24780412

My first and currently only rainbow tm is Dazzling Gleam. I'd rather have a rainbow Shadow Ball cause at least it has better distribution and I have more connections that get STAB with it

>>24780703
Snorlax and Munchlax and anything else that learns it in ORAS

Klefki, fittingly enough, though you can go for Munchlax and the elemental monkeys for low-level options.
>>24780683
It's actually not that hard. Heart Lake basically drowns you in regular/big Apples and Elixers, so you're in no short supply when you make a trip there. The Pokemon there aren't particularly powerful, but it's better to be overprepared then unready.
>>24780494
You get a guaranteed Dazzling Gleam, Shadow Ball, Focus Blast, and one or two others from rank ups so I now have 2 shadow balls

Garbador, but you have to beat him and his goons first before you can connect with him.
When do I get the ability to buy the Jew band from Confagrigus and the ability to trade all of one item for gold bars? I've finished the epilogue and can't find the options for it.
where can you find ariados?
I'm hyper rank, no sign of it yet
>>24780867
Ariados is a traveling Pokemon.
>>24780872
Okay thanks
>>24780848
You need 100 of an item to trade for gold. It can be berries, sticks, or gravelrocks
>>24780884
Alright thanks. What about the Jew looplet from Confagrigus though?
>>24780893
Should be available once he starts selling treasures, which is after the post story
Have Blast Seeds always done damage when thrown? I just got one hurled at me from offscreen and the damage it did nearly killed me from full health.
>>24780912
Yes. But they deal more damage when eaten.
>>24780893
You have to connect with it for it to sell the treasures, get a treasure from one of the dungeons or both. Then the option will be available.
>>24780791
It was like that in Gates, so probably.
>>24780930
Alright, I'll try that.
Last question. How much does the Jew looplet cost? I have the water looplet and I want to get some vitamins for my partner and me without screwing myself over.
>>24780958
10 gold bars and I'm pretty sure you just have to connect with Cofagrigus to unlock the treasure shop so if you have too much trouble with the treasure dungeons just talk to it every day until it connects
>>24780872
Are traveling Pokemon random or do they appear in specific places?

You do, but after leaving town they aren't selectable until post-game.
Will partners go out of their way to dig up sparkling spots like they do for normal items? What about when they are wearing the excavation looplet.
>go to genesect temple
>spam earthquake and heatwave with charizard
>lots of reviver seeds
That was easy.
How many times can the wind safely blow before i NEED to get out?
Is that Garchomp boss worth fighting?
>>24781546
Twice, I believe, at least in Explorers. Third one kicks you out.
Is there even wind in SMD?
>>24781580
There sure is, I've only ever let it blow twice before I headed to the next floor.
>>24781571
What do you mean?
>>24781532
For the former I'm pretty sure the answer's no, I've had partners walk right passed them. That may or may not change when they have on the excavation looplet, I'm not sure.
Took my first adventure in the sand area, after I accepted a bunch of jobs from Zoroark, Golurk, and Metagross. I expected trouble and took Tyranitar, Chespin, and Whiscash to tackle this endevour with 4 things of apples, revive seeds, and oran berries, along with some wands and orbs. Wow, that was a gauntlet to get through, that I just barely made it through that stage.
Things started off good and found a collapsed scizor. However, Zoroark's fun house was more nuts than I expected, and nearly blew my entire load of orbs to get out of the Monster House.
Past there, adventuring became dicey, as Pansear's flame burst was pretty deadly to Chespin, along with Quilladin and Skorpi's pin attacks being powerful enough to wreck Whiscash and chespin.
Golurkstarted off with things going great with a Mag 9 hit off the bat. Thankfully I chain slept them with the wand, and got rid of them.
And then once I finally reached the 10th floor, one of the Fraxure double crit double chop completely destroyed Tyrannitar, and evolved into Haxorus. No revival seeds around, and I just threw as many sleep wands around as I could, as Chespin and Whiscash finished out the dungeon.
First near loss experience. Made every other dungeon look tame in comparison so far. In terms of where I am right now, I just got back from the field trip.
>tfw just punching other pokemon while mega evolved
So do the faggots in lively town ever stop singing after the epilogue? I want to see a different NPC layout already.
Is low kick of double kick better on a fighting poke? Also how much does low kick actually buff your damage by if used on something big?
>>24781641
You can oneshot Steelix with low kick, but I don't think it would be very good against other pokemon. All multi-hit moves, double kick included, are amazing
>>24781641
double kek or bust
>>24781295
I ran water pulse, aerial ace, bubble beam and lick until I got ice beam (get it as soon as you have enough gold and replace bubble). Post game I evolved for better move pool and stab because yeah it kinda sucks.

>>24781680
>keeping lick and getting rid of bubble

>>24781680
I keep forgetting to get Ice Beam. I'll replace Bubble with it and Round with Night Slash. Was just waiting till I can get it's physical attack up more before I take on a second physical attack

>proceed to fucking ruin Giratina in a few turns
>why did I never think of this obvious strategy?

>Teach Greninja Ice beam and Night slash before going into Waterfall Basin Grotto for Kingdra mission
>Early floors are filled with Psychic types so level Night slash is easy
>Ice beam is already strong enough to hit Quagsire and Shellos for over 100 damage
Greninja just got a whole lot better
>>24781788
Using Curse against the bosses is fairly common knowledge and it's been talked about a lot in the general. It's a huge help against Mewtwo as well since it's Recover heals 900+Giratina is pathetic compared to Mewtwo. Take a Ban seed or teach Cofagrigus Disable and be prepared to kill yourself with Curse a lot

>>24782046
The hate is overblown but it's still just mediocre. The story is solid and I found the game not much easier than the others, though it is a bit.

>>24782046
GtI is kinda good story-wise imo, but the dungeons don't have much in terms of variety and it is kinda hard but not to PSMD's degree.
What is bullshit is only taking one mission at a time, which really kills playing for long periods of time (building Paradise isn't worth it either, unless you want to keep a good stock of Reviver Seeds, which is highly recommended).
