They really don't when there are other things that also represent the new gimmicks/mechanics in the gen and that doesn't even fit with all of them.
There are like 10 other babies in Gen 2 alone. We have Lunatone/Solrock, Volbeat/Illumise to show off double battles.
Pachuirisu doesn't even show off anything from Gen 4 besides the shitty "gender differences" reaching bullshit. That's even done better by things like Combee and especially Hippowdon/Hippopotas. You could make a point if it was the physical/special split, but Infernape shows that off so much better whereas Pachirisu doesn't do shit about it.
Emolga is 100% useless, doesn't show off triples, rotations, or dream abilities at all. We have Gear doing the first two, Musharna doing the latter, and then Audino being the poster child of shaking grass since Emolga doesn't even appear in all the shaking grass areas. It gets replaced by Unfezant's line halfway through.
Finally we have Dedenne, who is known as the only fucking fairy who can't learn Dazzling Gleam when goddamned Gengar can.

Hardly difficult. Pikachu was always one of the worse designs, and sure as hell wasn't worthy of being reused every gen. Pachirisu is the only Pikachu variant, including Pichu and Raichu, that looks worse than Pikachu.

I don't hate pikaclones. Plusle and Minun are cute as hell, I actually like Emolga and Pichu/Raichu too. The ones I don't like are Pachirisu and Dedenne. Pchirisu looks dumb, Emolga's got more character. Dedenne's cheeks don't look right to me, and the tail bothers me for some reason.

It wouldn't be so bad if they weren't straight up ugly too. The mythological beings they're based on are usually depicted as nearly identical, except for coloration and a couple of small details, so they're actually pretty damn accurate to source material. The therian formes at least give them a little uniqueness, but they all still have that same, ugly, mandible looking face and it just makes me not like them very much.

I dislike them because they're (here's that word again) overcomplicated; which in itself isn't bad since Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem were as well but they pulled it off and looked godly.
These, on the other hand, are fucking awful.
Let's start with Kyurem B. The first thing that sticks out are those arms. God damn, they serve no possible purpose other than to get in the way and cause inbalance which is already a problem when you consider that its entire left side looks heavy as fuck with its ice encasement so this trying to exist with this weight inbalance is just fucking inhumane. And that chin point that didn't even come from the pokemon who made it was not necessary. What I do like is its tail though. It's admittedly cooler than Zekrom's.
Now with White Kyurem, I'm not sure what happened, but having half your arm tuft cut clean off along with half the one on its head gives me the vibe that its existence is miserable. It helps it seem more balanced but the way that the silver and ice overtake it make the feathers just seem encased so they have to burst through in strands and that just doesn't settle well with me and ruins the elegance. Its raptor claws are top tier, however.
But the one thing making them look like putrid trash is the silver bits added on. The colors would go better together with it being just black and light blue or white and light blue respectively but then the silver comes and ruins the nice balance these colors would have had. The silver also gives Kyurem-B cleavage
They also make it look less like an improvement to Reshiram and Zekrom but instead look like those two legionaries suddenly restrained and trapped within a cage, making them seem more miserable and less elegant and instead just sad freaks of nature that make me feel bad and inhumane for allowing this to happen. They remind me that this form was never supposed to naturally happen. I wish it would end with them being complete and not this.
