Okay, so the story never takes you anywhere else in the world aside from that one mission on the Air Continent.
Why? Like, I noticed that the postgame missions all take place on the other three continents, which I assume is to get you to purchase the passes if you didn't already, but like, why were these places not used during the story itself? The whole world's supposed to be in danger from the petrification thing and thesun_____and all that business, but we never get to see any of it. It's like they had a single continent like PMD usually does, and that would have been "the world", and then they tacked the rest on.

What I'm saying is that even though the game tries to play up the whole "oh no, the whole planet is in peril" deal, you never actually get to see any of it. You do one mission on the Air Continent and it's never used again outside of the non-story content (no, seacave and oldcrumbly don't count), and you never go to the other places to check on any other legendaries as they're getting turned to stone. Instead the game skips over everything, and immediately defaults to going toEntei's pad to see if he's the bad guy. It wants me to believe the whole world is in danger yet it never wants to leave the home continent.

Again, it's basically the same as the last few towns. I get it's supposed to be you visiting the previous continents but it's nothing more than an annoying step as you have to travel to the sand continent to pick up hoopa and then wherever else to actually enter the dungeon.

So, TOP RIGHT is a map of the Grass continent, which is the world from PMD2. Yet, look at the map, Temporal tower and the hidden lands are cut off.
Yet, BOTTOM RIGHT is the Sea of wonders, and Temporal tower is included.
Does this mean we can go to Temporal tower post game?

Don't use them until you get the Water Looplet, if you equip the water looplet and throw a vitamin towards your other pokemon, they will both get the stat boost.

Actually, that's another complaint I have about the continents, barely any of the old dungeons return. It's like, the continents are shaped the same, but that's the only similarity outside of throwaway cameos that don't mean anything.Mystery Jungle is a nice callback but that's it.
That being said, I'm going through the OST right now on Youtube and a lot of the DLC tracks are music from the older games, likeMt. Steel, At the Beach at Sunset, Hidden Land, and Through the Sea of Time. Maybe we'll see dungeons from the older games as DLC? It'd certainly be better than Gates' DLC.

I honestly haven't got the foggiest idea. Apparently Dialga's Fight to the Finish is remastered in the same way (just the same chiptune in higher quality rather than fully remixed), and it plays when you fight Dialga.

The DLC in Gates to Infinity were dungeons, but they also included 2 past tracks in every package of DLC. The free one on launch contained Mt. Steel and vs. Rayquaza. Every subsequent one are ones you see in the game files for PSMD right now.
It's not like they were lazy, it's that they are actually pretty important songs in past games and since they've already done the conversion to 3DS files, it was probably they're good idea to use them in the Jukebox for PSMD.

For all you post game babbies:
>The excavation scarf is worth it. It makes you be able to get gold shinies in dungeons, which are always stat boosters or gold bars. In the long run, it's worth the bars.
>If you want to keep your starters through the tougher post dungeons, dump stat boosters down their throats. Use the pills instead of the cookies, since you'll be able to choose which stats go up.
>Don't go for every treasure immediately, you can't complete some sets until you level up your guild rank anyways. This goes the same for most Super level dungeons.
>A dungeon with "--" floors is a straight up boss battle. Prepare your ass, they play cheap.
>Since status effects are worth shit during legendary bosses, use quick orbs and stat boosters that help your team more than debuffing the enemy. Giratina specifically uses an attack that everything by a 3-frame width in front of it, and running is crucial.

My partner isn't back yet, so I don't want to start any of the really hard missions on the Grass continent or the Mist continent yet. What Legendary is easiest to go after?
Could someone help me out? I'm stuck in Mystery Jungle on the 11F and I really don't want to deal with that dungeon again. Any help would be appreciated!

I hope that if they make another game, they use a combination of the old recruit system and the new connect system. Make it so that you can use the connect system to get at least one of each Pokemon, but if you want more of that Mon you can still recruit from dungeons. And still implement the random missions outside of the connect ones so that players don't run out of missions to do.

You're going to have to work harder with Torchic than the other Fire-type Starters. It gets little through level-up, and its starting movepool is only okay.
Piplup is one of the better Pokemon in the game, and its early access to Bubble and Bubble Beam makes it a fantastic sniper. However, if it is the partner, it will use nothing but Bubble/Bubble Beam unless it literally can't, so carry around Elixirs at all times.

Comes down to how far you are, but really motivated groups are probably the best way to get exp especially with an unown.
Although I'm doing the dungeon with nothing butGenesectsat the moment and Typhlosion's tearing through them with heatwave for pretty good exp, although I gave him and my partner a bunch of vitamins.

It seems that in this game you can cheese the hunger mechanic by swapping leaders. Each member has their own hunger stat which depletes only when they are leaders (or get attacked by specific Pokemon with hunger reducing moves). So depending on how strong your party members are apples aren't really needed until the 99 floor dungeons.

You have more freedom with teams, but every pokemon is just slightly more generic to compensate. It doesn't really help that you can get every attack to max damage/ pp / accuracy and so the only things that matter are range and effects. I really wish we still had Explorers IQ skills, at least that was something.
Still, they're good games, and this is basically the 2nd best one. It just isn't quite as filling as EoS. More of a Roguelike, less of a PMD game. The quest system is neat, how it coincides with getting all the pokemon, and I love the way that the motivation system works, but the story's kind of weirdly paced and the postgame seems sort of bare from a non-completionist standpoint. Maybe the later quests change that, though.

You share ALL EXP you earn when you have 3 motivated mons. so in my case ALL my mons just got 222k exp from this dungeon. Unowns are OP as shit jesus christ. Is it worth it? Hell yeah it is. 40's and other mons will take a break because of your level gap too. Doesn't matter if you're 30 and the mon is 20, they fuck off some times so you should do these motivated mons as many times as you can.

That kinda sums up the gameplay for me too, yeah. From a completionist's standpoint it's got tons of content to dig into, but otherwise it's pretty empty, and the game goes so hard on the roguelike aspects that it doesn't feel as fulfilling to play in a sense. Like, I haven't gotten the same kind of lengthy satisfaction out of it that Sky gives me. I look at my file on Sky, still play it a lot, and even just seeing my team and all the places to go and explore feels fun. Super doesn't have the same appeal, partly because it's so ballbustingly hard. I know that it's -supposed- to be hard since it's a roguelike and all, but if I wanted a traditional roguelike, I'd go play Crawl or something.
It's still arguably the second best game, though, for sure.

They sent me on a mission to help an Axew fight a Salamence. And it was tough as 'fuck' with Axew dying immediately, and most of my parters too.Luckily I fucking destroyed his ass with Flinch and Confusion spam.
