Really, lots of things are "mentioned" but that's all they are. The continents being in the same shape is one thing, but how many places are shared between them and the games they come from? If you decided to remove all the fanservice from the game, got rid of all the cameos and dialogue references to previous games, would the game really lose anything?
I'm not saying that the game should have tied all the previous stories together, though. That would have been a shitmess. But the amount of effort that was put into "connecting all the games and worlds together" was so low that I honestly think they shouldn't have even bothered.

Finally starting Gentle Slope Cave. Jesus Christ, this game feels huge. It's plenty harder than the last ones I played, though I skipped Gates. I like how I can die or my partner can die and the control will just switch over to whoever is left. I don't know how I feel about the reliance on moves, but it's basically necessary if I want to do anything other than 5 points of damage. I really like the Wand system, though. Connection Orb seems like a mess, but I still like it so far. Oh, and Looplets and Emeras are so fucking helpful. The one that works best for me so far is

Get a fuckton of Slumber Wands. Use a Blast Seed or two. Make sure you have Sylveon. If you manage to get Type Bulldozer and Barrage, you should be set as long as you play it safe.

Her moves are more effective than other Pokemon's at that point, and you can lower Salamence's Attack by abusing Baby Doll-Eyes.
Actually, if you could make a team that can do an Alliance attack consisting of all Attack-lowering moves, that would be awesome.

There's nothing to dislike, other than most music being orchestral, but it's still very awesome, with some gems here and there.
It's a small feature, but I do miss the blue/pink text boxes so I could tell who is a guy or not.

I want to buy the new Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, and I already played Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, but I have some questions:
Is the gameplay still the same?
Can you mega evolve? And if you can, can you mega evolve to Mega Charizard X?
Does it have some kind of online gameplay? I never used the online features of the other two games, so I don't know nothing about it.

The gameplay basics are mostly the same, but many of the systems have been tweaked or overhauled and now have much more in common with the game's roguelike roots compared to the previous entries.
You can mega evolve using a item you can find in dungeons, but it's rather rare, and it's not an item you can save; it (among other items of the same variety) vanish when you leave the dungeon.
You can use QR codes to rescue people, but I don't know about online functionality.

You've gotten lucky. Sometimes a Heliolisk will charge and release a Razor Wind before you can leave the room or even get to it. It's about where the Heliolisk is and where you are. Their defenses are shit, though.

Advice for people who's about to go into the last dungeon near the end of chapter 18.
Bring as many Oran berries, reviviver seeds, and status wands, and totter orbs with you as you can!!! You will have to battle not just the shadow monsters butthree mega evolutionsat the same time! And try to let your other partners do most of the battling. You and your main partner's moves don't do a lot of damage.

Its not a huge gash my dog stepped on it last year. The only problem it causes is its slightly harder to mark attack ivs on the main games.
Just did the Fire Mountain story mission, most fun I've had yet, the bosses weren't hard because orbs and barrage emera, really liking the way they went with this game.

He's inside of a lamp in the Sand town. The lamp looks similar to the Unbound form, so look out for it.
No particular rank, just have access to the Sand Continent. He helps you get other legendaries too by summoning them.

I don't think that the quality of the graphics has suffered exactly (Gates and Super look really good, indeed better than the main series), but I do think that the move to 3D models makes the games run a lot slower. I noticed that when I played Gates' demo years ago, and I got a better feel for it when I played Etrian Mystery Dungeon and saw how choppily it got when you had a full team of four with the camera zoomed out. Super seems to do a lot better with it, given how big the teams can get sometimes during the story, but the slowdown during a certain late-game boss battle was incredibly noticeable, even on the bottom screen.

A lot of the dark stuff feels kinda forced, though. It's dark, but it doesn't have a lot of impact since the game doesn't really have the right scope.
I think I'd feel a lot more invested in the story if you spent more time with the Society after leaving Serene Village. Like, the whole thing is a worldwide crisis and everything, but all we've seen of the world is the mission on the Air Continent. It's like the other continents don't even exist in relation to the story. I mean, imagine if you had to go to all around the world trying to save legendary after legendary from getting stoned. That'd be awesome.

I actually agree with the second anon here, since personally I was sick and tired of the village and the classmates by the time I left. I think if you had at least been able to start getting Rank points earlier, or at least something to make it feel like the game wasn't restricting you. I knew the game had to open up at some point, and I knew that I would leave the village and go to Lively Town at some point, so the fact that it took so long made me lose interest in the story, and I never really got that interest back.
That being said, I do think that they should have spent a lot more time with the Society either way. And they should have done something with the legendary Pokemon more, too. As it stands, the only reason I feel like legendary Pokemon were being targeted was to be all "oh no the villain is even stronger than legendary Pokemon!", and that doesn't make me care about them or make me unnerved.On that note, anyone disappointed that Diancie didn't end up having any kind of villain status? I mean, Pokemon turning to stone? Legendary Pokemon turning to stone? That would have been totally fitting.
