For news, no. For main game information, no in terms of depth of info, yes in terms of organization. For side game information, usually. For non-game franchise information (for example, anime), usually.

It was probably a kid. Most adults who shoplift tend to understand that you're home free once you get it into your pockets/bag. There's no point in smuggling them into the bathroom.
