If Gen 6 wasn't trash and gave us actual new pokemon instead of glorified but mostly ugly forme changes, people won't be clamorimg for Gen 7 so bad this early.

The Mega looks disgustingly overpowered. Burst attack took almost a half of Suicune's health bar, and Suicune has the highest HP in the game. The fact that Sceptile's Burst meter fills up very quickly doesn't help matters.
Other than that, it's hard to say how viable it's going to be. I'd wait until the Japanese players practice with him a little longer.

Gen 7 should buff Calm Mind to make it boost special by two stages if used by psychic types.
I'm not super happy they destroyed the "only 2 stats boosted" precedent.
Odds are with power creep it will be something like "boost 3 attack and 2 speed" but people will defend it because it's only on mediocre pokemon, then the gen after that gamefreak will give it to more and more powerful pokemon, which people will defend with "git gud"

Actually we have the latter from Growth since Gen 5. You forgot to mention that actually.
Maybe +2 speed/+2 to a defense? Give it to something like Serperior. Or a give us a decent electric type with it.

I could only do that if I ditched my starter. Having my starter be in a sub-par ball would trigger my autism too hard.
