Giovanni is absolutely one of the better villains. Just a crime-boss out to make a profit. None of that "imma destroy the world using (legendary pokemon) and only YOU can stop me by befriending (legendary pokemon)" formula that's been done to death.

The only original that really stands out as better to me is the E4 encounter theme. ORAS got it all wrong by using a xylophone for music that's supposed to be intimidating.
