Here's how it works: we start with a dude deemed "champ". He uses a team cumpiled of the first 6 Pokemon suggested to him by you - Anonymous. From there he will battle his way through ELO hell on the borderline illegal simulator Pokemon Showdown!™. After stroking and choking for a bit he will call for a new team; or, if he's gone limp, for new champ. And from there, the cycle continues!

Working on an essentials game where nearly every type combo is included. Pokemon have different appearances and types that they've adapted from their environment (such as a secondary forest that is home to fire Pokemon now). What new attacks and abilities would you like to see in a game like this? Any other suggestions are appreciated too.
Ideas for some of the babies so far. In the game I want to make it a bit easier to raise up happiness and for happiness to have an effect on battle similar to gen 6s friendliness.
A freeze status attack, maybe with low accuracy.

Outside of fighting gardevoir and garchmop, is he even viable?
It's like they took everything bad about machamp and gave him unreasonable wind up for all of his attacks. The only moves he has that do damage require ample setup that anyone playing the game more than ten minutes will know what you're doing. He has no priority. Next to no viable wall chaining. No range on his grabs. No reason to play him, outside of favoritism.
Machamps can kill you in three relatively unstoppable combos. Every character will outprioritize everything you will ever do. You will especially never beat pikachu. You will never beat chandelure. Your CADC will always suck because your body length is so ridiculous.
I was going to use him as a secondary, but he did nothing but suck cock. Enjoy being on suicide watch, crybabbies. I'm going to keep slapping my cock on the AAY button with spamdulure.

I think it's too early to say whether Sceptile sucks or not. There was an S-ranked Sceptile player in Japan that managed to defeat a Gengar.

Hey /vp/ I'm still making my way through my playthrough of Blue version, and I seriously can't decide right now. I have an empty team slot that I want to fill with a physical attacker and I've decided I want it to be either Tauros or Kangaskhan since I've never used either of them on my team in any playthrough ever, but I really can't decide between the two for what I wanna use. Fun wise I want to use them equally as much, and in gen 1 they're pretty much the same in what they can do in terms of movepool. The only tradeoff I can see is Tauros's higher speed to Kanga's higher HP, and the fact that Tauros gets Horn Drill while Kanga gets Dizzy punch. Which one do I go with guys?
Tauros was the best Pokemon in Gen 1 for a reason. Get it and teach it Body Slam, Blizzard, Double-Edge, and Earthquake.
