That's crap. Nobody is buying full games on App Store and Google Play. Everyone has learnt that by now. And even for the few with a pricetag, no game more expensive than 5 or 6 dollars has ever crossed the top 100. There is no way Nintendo is going to lose their spectacular library into the sea of App Store/Google Play when that same library is the only thing driving Nintendo's hardware sales.

They all do to an extent.
I didn't own gen 1, I used to borrow my friends, so my played time was much lower. When I hear it I feel very nostalgic.
Gen 2 was MY gen in a lot of way. I sunk hundreds of hours into it as a kid. So in a way, I'd say it feels the most vanilla to me - as it's baseline in my brain.
Gen 3 still excites me a little. I'd say it's my second gen - I got it on my tenth birthday and I really do have a sweet spot for it despite its flaws. Fuck you I like the trumpets
Gen 4 is my favourite gen so it gets me pretty hype.
Gen 5 is my least favourite so it makes me feel like I'm in an artificial environment with EDM music - if that analogy works.
