There is no more pokemania. The XY anime is regularly crushed in ratings by YW, which doesn't mean that the anime sucks or that YW is more popular than YW, it just means that the old prime target of pokemon games (kids) has moved on.
It's fucking 2016 and it's evident that most of the pokemon fanbase is older and thrives on the internet. No videogame has such a large and active online following, no other game deserved it's own fucking board on 4chin, no other game has like 50 subreddits, I mean jesus christ GF it's time to reckon that most of us are not children anymore and start cashing on that instead of rehash the same idea for the seventh time.
