Personally I'll keep saying DP and ORAS were flawed but not bad unlike the common opinion on /vp/ is and BW1 and XY are both weak.

As much as I hate this meme, you got one thing right.
The announcement has a set time, if you go to bed right now, you can get a clean 7 hours sleep and still be up with plenty of time to spare. Only the west coast who's announcement is at like 5 AM has a real reason to stay up for it.

hello guys
so I just got a 3DS after years without playing pokemon (last one was platinum) and tomorrow I'll be going to get some games but don't know if I should pick up BW/B2W2 or X/Y and AS
I mean is there a point in getting older games? like moving then my pokemons to newer games or battles between XY and ORAS, or should I just get the newest game
(and since I can always play gen V in an emulator, I guess this now applies to X/Y)
