If he complains about animations being too long with weapons like Long Sword, Switch Axe and Gunlance in existence, then Dual Blades would be the opposite of what he wants. You can only cancel out of certain animations, after all. A lot otherwise lock you into the animation (especially the Demon Dance and spin)

Bone bludgeon has 4 available 'paths'
3 of them aren't unlocked yet so I can't upgrade into that path and i cant even see what the requirements are, to unlock those paths i have to 'level up' my weapon into a bone bludgeon +5, which costs materials in itself. When thats done i'll be able to see what the available paths are.

UGH so I decided to LS with adept style because I rolled that shit but landing that hit after the dodge is proving much too annoying.
Most monsters have moving attacks so when I dodge it puts a gap between us that is bigger than that small charge you get after the dodge.
So what are so fun new styles guys?

Guild offers nothing to what Switch Axe is like in Generations. You lose the roundhouse in Striker, that isn't something you need to use. Anytime you would be in Axe (which is like only after Trance Slashing) you'd already be back in Sword Mode because Energy Charge puts you back into it anyway. Energy Charge invalidates everything Axe mode has besides mobility and the overhead swing's reach, because it means you never need axe to recharge the gauge while Demon Riot means Sword Mode attacks do more damage. Striker gives access to all three, even if you only need two (Trance is, however, good when there's a large window to use its full combo) while also increasing the rate you recharge each art. Guild offers nothing over Striker

Huh, it's almost as if they just removed the pattern of name changes for barely any change to the weapon's design and instead made it levels before a new branch. Whereas before you'd get Bone Axe into Bone Axe+ into Bone Smasher. Now it's Bone Axe Lv. 1 into Lv. 2 and on while stats and sharpness still meet the same adjustment. And it's not like weapons didn't have previous crafts as a necessity to craft in previous games. There weren't always options to craft a weapon from scratch

Just try not to lock yourself in an animation when it's on its tail, if it rears back while on the tail it's going to charge.

Keep trying. Don't just button mash. Get in a few hits and then back off. Rinse and repeat. You should be able to kill him with starting gear. Eat before each hunt (I always eat for attack up but you can go for HP if you need it) as well and use your rations from the guild box to get maximum stamina.

Aerial Insect Glaive still has the guild style vault if you jump backwards but I'm having a bit of trouble pulling it off in hunts, is there a more reliable way to do it besides right at the end of an aerial style vault? Trying to do the input for a backwards one regularly just makes my character turn around and do an aerial vault instead.
