So is soldier's rifle while he has other utility McCree does not. Toblerone's rivet gun does the same damage as McCree's revolver, and while not being hitscan, has a buckshot option.
I do like McCree, but every time I play him I have the thought in the back of my mind that I should just be playing Soldier instead. Flashbang is WAY too circumstancial, and I think the period of time where McCree was OP trained Teacers and Genjis to be careful about placement, which really nullifies the only thing McCree's flashbang did. He's okay at Mercy-guard I guess.

The main issue of playing McCree is the games single frame buffer. It causes very noticeable input lag that can only be mitigated by playing at stupidly high 250+ FPS.
Once you do though, getting headshots with him is pretty easy.

It's much, much harder to detect a pro because they use private cheats designed only for them.
As for how they use it on LAN, they put it in the mouse drivers or whatever else they're allowed to take to the LAN. If the tournament provides all their hardware for them, they either go without cheats or find some really specific solution. In CSGO they used the Steam workshop to download their cheats on LANs.

It's very likely set up to a hotkey that can be pressed to instantly lock onto the NEAREST head - that's why Taimou's crosshair jumps back and forth, because the game considers the revived enemy's head a valid target when he wanted the Genji instead.
The aimbot would only be needed to be active for the maximum of a second or two to completely headshot someone. You could assume that they would only ever press their aimbot hotkey in dire situations, and that their natural aim will suffice when Taimou doesn't need to shoot down 3-4 people in 10 seconds.
Either way the "professional" scene in Overwatch is likely littered with these situational aimbots. Any hero running htiscan is a candidate for an aimbot.

Tracer is literally just get gud. Any hero can force a recall from her if they land 1-2 shots and make her susceptible to being finished off or at least chase her away. Winston can't kill her but he can shut her down or force it more easily than other characters. Hanzo has the best tool and ability to one-shot tracer outright, which is easy if you keep in mind how many dashes she has. Mccree goes without saying. Soldier also stands a good chance. Assuming you have aim.
So I've basically come to the conclusion that "carrying" with Genji basically boils down to having a competent team.
If your team is outclassed by the opponent's, Genji does absolutely fuckall to swing the match into your favor.
He doesn't have sustain, he doesn't have any sort of significant damage like reaper. His ult does absolutely nothing because an enemy Lucio or Mei or someshit will Ult as well and nullify it. And/or you just get oneshot by a random Roadhog attack.

I think they were just experimenting with supports. Lucio and Zenyatta were trying for something original. One worked out, the other didn't. I do like the idea of debuffing opponents though that's supporting without straight up healing.
