The BoS is too fractured and small to achieve something like that, not to mention all the other problems they have.
Plus I'm doubtful there is much in the way of suitable base locations the further west you go and even if they were plentiful, it would be a dumbass idea to have them as it makes it harder to project force and obtain supplies from and for the base. Add in the fragility of the Vertibird and you've got a recipe for disaster.

Vertbirids in Fallout 4 being able to be easily taken down is due to a bug that causes only the level 20 versions of the vertibirds to spawn, with the level 30, 40, and 50 versions never spawning even if you get to level 100+

Well uh...hmm. It seems that after combining the hair parts in Blender, and putting the mesh in OS, and exporting as Nif...it gets these weird black spots all over the nif. I noticed this on the bangs but its even worse for this hair.

There'll probably be one raider-themed weapon and one nuka themed weapon each for melee and ranged given the DLC's description.
So the ranged nuka weapon will almost certainly be that nuka pistol from the concept art, and the melee will probably be something shit like a broken nuka cola bottle on a stick, or some kind of nuka cola metal sign used as a club.

Wounding is also really potent, though it does take a bit of time to kick in. It's the best affix for energy weapons though, mostly because explosive only shows up on ballistic weapons.

Creation kit hasn't been out long enough for really good mods, combat in general is pretty good it's mostly just the dialogue/story/quests that are shit. I'd pirate it first and if you feel like it by the legendary edition when it comes out. The only dlc's i'd recommend buying are far harbour and automatron (and posssibly nuka world when it comes out), just pirate the others.

Honestly the place looks really cool, with mods you can make it a great trading hub, but vanilla lair of the mechanist was shit, at least you can fast travel and avoid the elevator ride every time.
Since you could use robots as settlers from day 1 of automatron, why bethesda did not make the mechanist lair the best robot city in the game?
But I could also ask why they did not make Isabel into a full companion or give unique voice mode and quests for the mechanist suit.
